Thread: CU Vendor Listing Bug FYI
From the Sony Knowledge base:
-NEW- [Vendor Sales Require Relisting] -NEW-
Due to the new changes in many of the items within the game world, all items that are being held in the Commodities Market Database must be removed from vendors and the bazaar to process full conversion. The old system and new system formats are not compatible, and items that have not been removed and relisted will not display correctly under the new system interface.
To get your listed item's stats to show in the vendor, you must remove it completely from the vendor, just moving it to the stock room isn't enough.
Enjoy,
Guru

No, it will not be fixed.
As it turns out, this isn't a bug. They transitioned to a new commodity system database with the CU update. The only way to get your items into the new database is to remove them from the old database. To do this, you must remove the item completely from the vendor or bazaar into your inventory. Then you must add the item back into the vendor to put it into the new commodity database.
Yes, myself and the other crafting correspondents and the merchant correspondent, have expressed dismay and upset at this. However, this is how it is and how it will remain.
Personally, I would have liked a warning that this was going to happen so folks could prepare for it.
I'm sorry folks, but this is what we've been told.

I'll be removing my items from my vendor, and leaving them off. Another member of my guild, after being screwed for the tenth time by a patch update, will only be doing custom work from now on. Our armorsmith is seriously considering quiting because of this upgrade. Their player based economy is about to take a serious hit.

Actually that changed several months ago right around the time when they took vendors away from people who didn't have the skills and added item limits.
You don't see a true count on the item listing screen, but you will see it on the vendor status screen.
Items in packs count, but the pack itself does not.
Empty packs do count.
6 items in a pack = 6 items.
empty pack = 1 item.
Ah ok, thank you for that then... i guess i just never noticed that when put items on a vendor... I never had that many items before and it just surprised me.. lol.
well atm this is really slowing the economy down as no one is using vendor search atm due to the volume of items still in the old system
I have relisted all my vendors for the third time now (chimaera's epic reroll's to thank)
I just hope everyone gets out there n relists so players can SEE whats on offer

oh..maybe i should be constructive....here goes..i see system spam regarding XP and other things...why can tthey spam"You must remove and relist items.....blah blah....."
i see loads of vendors/items that havent been relisted...and i think, correct me if im wrong, that this issue is pretty darn significant to the game economy.
I agree. I would have thought that something like this would have lead to a lot more exposure than it got. Go fig.

But Guru..it isn't a bug..it's a feature...![]()
