As far as species bonuses... who's the better species in the long run? Mon Cal or Human?

Thoughts... suggestions?

I've heard that it doesn't REALLY matter what species you are very much, and that makes sense to me, since you can migrate your stats to give yourself more mind or action to be an artisan or whatever. I'm a Twi'lek, and I'm doing great as it is.

Rodians get a +10 to weapon crafting. Do any other races get any crafting bonuses?

Humans get a bonus to Artisan Experimentation - so if you plan on being a Master Artisan, it's something to consider.

Mon Cals get some crafting bonuses (Structures and Weapons, I think?).

Mon cals get +10 to weaponsmithing and +10 to Architect. Humans Get +15 to Artisian experimentation, so when both of those species are maxed out...the human will have a better chance at making a more superb(fill in the blank)than the Mon Cal. At least that is the way I see it. Someone please enlighten me.

Rodians and Mon Cal get better bonuses if we are talking about weapon crafting or architecture, but as an overall species, I've found that my Human Artisan works very nicely. The bonus to experimentation is key, as it give me more of an ability to try and create advanced items. While certainly not that big of a deal, it helps if you are NOT planning on being a weaponsmith or architect. I've committed to the Domestic Arts line moving toward Tailor/Chef. Hope this helps.

What if you were going to be a Droid Engineer, Business, and maybe Weapons? which race would you be?

I don't think it really matters. Bonus, schmonus. I'm playing a Mon Cal as an Artisan, simply because Mon Cals are written as a creative and industrious race... so that's how I'm playing it. That and I think a Mon Cal just LOOKS cool, especially wearing some armor. Those big fish eyes are so **edit** cute. hehe

But seriously, what do you WANT to play? You can play a wookie or trandoshan artisan, if you wish... you won't be all that worse off, number wise, AND you'll be taking the race because you wanted to... not because you get the best bonuses.

I always hated when my friend would build some uber character for D&D with awesome stats up the wazoo and never have a character or persona developed for it.

Hi,

I went Zabrak...

Best decision I have made so far!

Zabral can set have willpower of 900! The Mind regenrate is awesome.

Get some first aid skills from the novice medic tree and buy a bunch of Stimpack-B's from a doctor. You have almost no down time while surveying.

My rodian has no downtime while sampling. Since the change to sampling, she never has to rest.

She is set up as a dancer/tailor, with maxed action and mind stats, and the regen is more than enough to cover the new slower ticks. She can dance all night without rest, too.

My husband's Bothan also can sample forever, set up similarly, but he is an Image Designer primarily.
