oh and hills.. all large harvestors need level ground... but don't worry about that too much as the harvestor will show you where it can be placed.

All of the NPC cities have a no-build zone around them and the size of it varies from city to city.

Around Coronet, for instance, there is a vast wasteland and then a sudden cluster of buildings.

This is a fairly good indication of the border of the no-build zone.

Your odds of squeezing anything bigger than a personal harvester into this area are slim.

Most player cities require that you have zoning rights to place a structure within their borders.

You can always ask the mayor or a member of the militia for permission to place one in their city but I'd bet most won't allow it for aesthetic reasons.

Also the most annoying thing when placing Harvesters. This has happend to me twice and I want to freaking KILL someone for it.

I find a 90% or more concentration of really good stuff. I go to plant my harvesters. Yeah! It's all green and ripe for planting and I have a bunch to lay out. I plant one... I start to plant another and all of the sudden *poof*! The whole area goes yellow. A lair just spawned right next to me. Now I can't plant anything else. GRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

I'm convinced that the Mottled Wrixes on Corellia actually subsist off of high SR metals when they can't find a Master Artisan to eat. Every 80%+ concentration that I've found in the last few months has been camped by a couple of lairs of mottled wrixes. Naturally, as soon as I finish taking care of both of the lairs a new on pops up about 20m away from where I just finished clearing one out. It makes me miss my scout days when I could mask my scent, run right up next to them, poke them in the eye and run away without them ever noticing me.

Actually they know that high SR metals will attract artisans so they just hang out in the area and wait for lunch to be delivered.

Hmm... this all begs the question: How do they know where the high SR materials are? Perhaps they are like drug sniffing dogs... only they're mineral sniffing cats.

That does it! Forget surveying! I'm getting myself amineral sniffing cat for a pet!

Animals are more in-tune with nature and the world around them.

So by peeing in a box full of sand, sleeping about 50% of the day, getting constant attention whenever she wants it, and eating out of a dish on the floor my cat is more in-tune with nature?

Ok, I can deal with that. The dish on the floor thing might take some time to get used to, but it'll be worth the extra sleep that I'll be getting. I'll just tell all of my friends that I'm being trendy... I hear there are restaurants in New York where people pay big bucks to eat their meals on the floor. It'll be all of the trend with a fraction of the cost! Of course... the whole box thing might be a bit of a turn off to the fairer sex... if I cut out just that one thing can I still be kind of sort of in-tune with nature?

Nope.

It's sort of a feng shui kind of thing.

All of the different elements are interconnected and you must achieve total harmony to truly become one with nature.

If you don't go all the way you'll be doomed to only finding metals in the 200's.
