Thread: Powerups Question
Hi, is it possible to make ranged powerups with min dmg 30+ and max dmg 15+?? I've been experimenting for 2 hours with no luck.

I have never seen minimum damage as the primary stat on a ranged weapon powerup. I've crafted quite a few.
Muzzles can do Max Damage 30 and Min Damage 15, but not the other way around. No powerups can do the combination you're looking for.
Considering that powerups increase by percentage, you'lldomoredamageoverall by increasing your Max Damage as much as possible. Is there a particular reason you want that combination?
i have made a few Min damage +31% power ups however the second stat is usally speed or mind or something else. I spent well over 4 hours these last few days experimenting and i havent ever seen the combo you are looking for. Some combos i suppose just wont go together.
(oh and BEST i have made are the +31%max +15%Min damage ones i have on my vendors now *yes shameless plug) ![]()
The muzzle combo actually better as it gives you a higher effective DPS. The bonuses from powerups are Percentage based, so you'll get the highest gain when applying them to bigger weapons. Speed powerups make a bigger differnece when applied to a slow rifle than when applied to a fast pistol. Damage mods add more overall damage when applied to max damage than when applied to min damage. I understand that no-one likes high-variance damage and that max/min powerups increase the variance while min/max powerups decrease the variance. But the over all damage per second is definitely higher with the max/min powerup.
Sorry, I misread the question. I don't know if this is possible or not.

Squeg's got it right. I'd read about how an increase invarience is a bad thing, but when I sat down to do the math, I can't see the disadvantage.I find that you get a higher damage-per-second with max/min muzzles.
Also, FYI, the maximum possible value for a powerup is 33.164997/16.335501. It's not necessary to use the absolute max OQ both components, but I'm not sure exactly where the threshold is. For instance, I can use a mineral wih OQ 987 andchemical with997 and get the best stats possible. If I switch in a 996 Mineral and keep the 997 Chemical, there is no improvement.
