All i ask is please, please, PLEASE! do not flood the bazaar with your grinded wares, they suck. No really, they do. A muzzle that gives 5% to max damage is NOT worth 100 credits, its not even worth 20, or even 10 (which i have seen them sold for 10 credits).

Lets think about this... If i wanted to buy a power up to increase my max damage, why would i buy one that increases it by 5%? lemme think, if my weapon did a max damage of 50, a 5% powerup would take me to 52.5 max damage. ohh gee! 2.5 more damage! whoopee! and guess what? powerups do not stack, so i have to waste the power-up before i can put something decent on.

This is NOT an anti-grind thread, grind away! i've done it, but i delete my grinds. I don't even give them out because i realize they aren't any good. What i did start doing is experimenting on all of my powerups and selling them at good prices. I make good money off it and support my harvesters. Flooding the market with junk slows me down, but i still manage to sell everything i make now. Don't even think of saying "competition is good" because seriously, your grinded 2-5% power-up is no competition to what genuine power-ups are. Good experimented power-ups give a main bonus of 22-29% to one stat and 11-15% bonus to a second stat. I've personally experimented up to 84% effectiveness on a few power-ups, which translates to some very nice bonuses.

So to sum up, please please PLEASE!!!! do not flood the local markets with junk. if your power-up doesn't give at LEAST 15% to one stat, it really isn't even worth 50 credits. Just give them away or destroy them. You'll save the 20 credits to post them on the bazaar, and if you manage to give them away, someone might actually use them instead of your auction simply running out and you end up wasting 20 credits. Think about it, 20 credits * 20 items = 400 credits, just posting 20 grinds will cost you 400 credits that you could have used for more materials.

On another note to the devs: it would be nice if the custom naming worked for powerups, this would grant REAL power-up crafters some visibility if they could add a "tag" to their wares". Right now, naming does not work for power-ups because the name is generated on-the-fly as it leaves the hopper.

First off, let me say that I burn my grindings, (which are Weapons, Droid and General crafting tools). I may throw a few of my amazing successes on the market, but that is it. I do this because I WANT to. Just as if I WANTED to, I would put all my grindings on the market. I pay as much as you do to play this game, and I'll do what I want with my crafted items.

Why are you getting your panties in a bunch? Are you afraid that the newbie artisans who haven't figured out the games ins-and-outs (as you obviously have, and have all the answers to) with their 25 maxbazaar slots are going to ruin the market by putting their grindings up for sale? They'll soon learn that the 20 credits apiece for items that won't sell is a waste of money and back off. Maybe even become more selective on what they craft and put up for bid. Gasp! Does your majesty think that that is possible??? Or should we wait around and see what other gems of knowledge you have for us, so that we might heed them and make your game-play experience better?

Plain facts: Everyone deserves the right to be able to put whatever 25 items they care to on the market. They pay the 20 credits apiece just like you and me, and if they have the credits to keep putting the low-yield power-ups on the market, even after they haven't sold for 3 or 4 iterations, well more power to em!

Anything else that the player-base is doing that upsets you, milord? We need to know, sop we can modify our behaviour appropriately.

CUD this has nothing to do with what you CAN do, but has more to do with a request to not make the already painfully wretched bazaar interface any harder than it already is. Notice i said, its not a flame, but a request with some facts to back up the reason. I didn't flame anyone and i appreciate it if you kept your replies to pointed facts that support your reason other than the vague "just because" type of reason that people "can" do it so they should.

We all grind to some extent, but it is wasteful and useless to put 2% and 5% powerups on there. We could all benefit by not cluttering up the bazaar. So how about it, you have any good reasons why we SHOULD clutter up the bazaar other than just because you can?

I'll come up with one since you didn't: maybe if we clutter it all as much as possible enough people will complain and they will finally add more relevant fields to sort by, or maybe even dynamic fields, so i can choose what stats to sort by, other than name/price/auctiontime.... I think we would all like to see a more efficient bazaar, unless you really WANT the convoluted mess we have right now?

Hear hear, Alalla. And Cudzu, I think you need to back off a bit. What's the harm of someone asking for junk not to be put on the bazaar? Sorry if it offends your delicate sensibilities, but it's a very useful and necessary post. Perhaps there are newbies reading who don't realize that their +.6% action cost powerup (yes, I've really seen this) isn't going to do anyone any good. Maybe by reading this, they'll realize that they don't need to put it on the market. Quit trolling for a fight, and leave this thread for the grownups.

I agree totally.

I make powerups that give a 29-30% in a main attribute and then 15% or so to something else like mind cost or point blank penalty. Those are the only ones I will sell. I'm fortunate enough to have found good materials to craft these and experiment them up to 88-90%. I sell them through my friend who has a vender as well. I don't have the Loc on me if anyone is interested in purchasing a nice powerupbut you can send me a tell if you want to in game and I can direct you to his shop.

Ok, so this was a shameless plug, but seriosly i agree with the point totally. Don't put crap on bazaar.

The real problem here isn't the people putting worthless things up for sale, the REAL problem is the worthless bazzar interface. There's no way to search, you can't find anything without wading through everything... It's really bad.

You should be able to filter out results, search, choose columns, chose how many items are displayed at once...

If I want to search on +20 max damage ranged powerups, I should be able to do that.

If I want to search on inorganics with an overall quality of 90%+, I should be able to do that, too...

Etc... Etc...

Yah i agree, i trash all the shavings from grinding, I hate going on the bazaar and seeing all that zhit. I wish they could put a filter on it. Yah people have a right to put it on there but give me a break.

Perhaps the Bazaar could use some kind of equation to give levels to various items, and then have a way to sort items by their level value.

Anyway, I'm not so sure that knocking off all the powerups would help very much. I sell them occasionally (30% with the 15%'s once in a while. Possibly one a day. Looking at the bazaar, its not only loaded down with junk items.

I saw at least thirty other items that were the same, approximately, as my own and all had competing prices.

Everyone and their mother is a "grinding" artisan right now, and unfortunately we will have a lot of flooding for the first month or so. Wait until people begin to find their professions, it will become much less crowded.

I agree that people should try not selling their low crafted items. Some people simply don't know. First day I logged in, I tossed three survival knives up into the bazaar. I had no idea what I was doing and none of them sold. If people don't learn that forcing things on a market doesn't sell them, well... they're going to fail as a builder anyway Demand is not something you can create legally

I agree with both the original poster and CUD. Yes, junk shouldn't be up there, but they are spending the same money we all are and are perhaps learning what NOT to sell in the process.

Thanks for reading!

A better filtering process is a good idea for the bazaar and even venders.

I dont know if I'd say that everyone is a grinding Artisan. I've been playing for 2 weeks now and am still short of Master Artisan. It is a rarety for me do any unordered items. And this type of production is what has kept me from progressing quicker. I will on a rare occasion when I have a real low number of quality materitlas left make a handful of items for Bazaar listing, but even when I do that, I destroy some from failures.

Now as for the Bazaar, I dont want to give away my marketing strategy, but if you are ever near/in Mos Entha, look for me in center town or the Fallen Star and ask me... I'll happily give you mt speel.

The Bazaar interface sucks - we can't customize names for Powerups we make = tons of cheap & crappy Powerups in the Bazaar make it that much harder for customers to find decent ones made by crafters who only sell items of good quality

Argh, I've actually been doing that...didn't even think about it. Been selling my crap for 50 bucks a pop just to make an extra 30. I'll stop doing that Thanks for mentioning, it is a very reasonable request and with merit
