Thread: Did they changed something to the crafting tools to prevent using 2 at the same time?
Strange, i've gotten 7 to run at once (high completion times) and never seen this problem before.
Do you lose all your resources when it closes?
I have experienced this problem, as recently as January 5th. When running two General Crafting Tools, I can begin to craft an item that may take 20 seconds after completing the crafting process. If you can complete another process on another General Crafting Tool within those 20 seconds, it will work, but if you're in the process of selecting materials, naming the item, or whatever, when the timer on the other runs out, it will end the crafting session on both. A realpain. This is a bug. I use to be able to do it without trouble.
Now, whether you lose those materials when the crafting session ends or not, I don't know.

I have asked this question about 3 times before on similar threads, someone please answer
What are you trying to craft when this happens?
I only happens to me, and always happens to me, when crafting new crafting tools. Everything else (that I have tried) I have no problems with.
I noticed this too, but it only happens when in practice mode.
Once i turned off practice, it was back to normal
I run 5 tools at one time for grinding and dont have any problems. I have done this a few times tho I accidently put the same tool in 2 different slots without paying attention and get that little pop up saying "You are an idiot try using a tool that is not crafting" ![]()
But seriously, I never had any problem with having multiple tools working at once. If you are using a macro it might be a number of problems with the macro itself that is making this happen.
One other thing........if your on a laggy planet don't recommend tryin to grind there. Alot more problems occur bigtime while grinding.
I use 3 crafting tools casually and when I grind. I comes in handy when you have to make components for a particular schematic. I also use those three tools via a macro to grind. I've not had a problem in either aspect.
I reported the same issue in a ticket.
The first response I got was from a CSR who obviously didnt know anything about crafting... he said a novice could only run 1 tool at a time.. which is absolutely wrong.
I added a coment to my ticket pointing out that he didnt know what he was talking about, and I got a response from a different one that told me i was right, and that (as i had correctly identified in the mean time) the problem only occurs when making crafting tools.
The CSR stated that it is 'Normal' behaviour for all of your crafting sessions to end when one of your tools completed production of a new crafting tool.
So my advise... grind using something else as the schematic ![]()
