Thread: Top 5 Next Round!! 8/15/03
Ok we have our response to our last listing. Lets start working on the next one. I'll complie all my notes and post them as a refresher on what has been discussed the last several weeks. Expect this post on Sunday as Iam working tommorrow.
Please post your bugs, things you want to see and take a look at the Dev responses and answer the questions that were posed I'll include the ones that are most popluar with everyone in the next email. I'd like to give us a week to discuss this and I'lls end out the next email on 8/22/03.
I'd like to see a message of how much xp i got on crafting my items.
I'd like to see added xp for every successful experiment. 1 extra point for every 10%. So, if you start off with 13% and 26% and you end with 23% and 46% thats an extra 3xp, generic, armor, droid, weapon - whatever you are crafting at the time. But, it has to be every 10% - using previous example, if you get 22% and 47% that is only 2xp extra. It just makes sense that while you are tweaking your item you are gaining xp.
thats all i got for now ...
Here's what I want to add to top five:
1) Bring back the Mining Profession.
2). change the readout of harvesters power to be more intuitive (instead of base 60, or whatever it is, lol )
3). If you've reached Structure Efficiency IV, have the new maintenance rates show up in the Status window of the structure.
4). resources should weigh more...yeah, this is sort of a mining nerf I'm advocating, but it's sort of silly that I can carry 100k of resources. This would then give droid engineers an avenue to sell binary load lifters, which should be implemented to carry heavy loads like this.
5). Bring back the Mining profession....![]()
6) and after that, create a message board for Miners.
sorry Jaliss, you get all my mining dirty laundry ![]()
I'd like my vedor to let customers retrieve there purchases.

I use the EQ style keymap since that was what I was comfortable with. When I have my crafting tool open, there is no default keystroke assigned to the buttons. What I mean is, those using the SWG keymapping can hit ENTER to continue to the next step (be it the ingredients page, the experiment, etc.). There is no way for me to do the same, even if I fiddle with the CHAT ENTER command to make it not use ENTER. Please allow the assignment of a keystroke to the default command button on popup windows so I do not have to always use the mouse to move to next screen.
My workaround is to save off to setups in zip files of my profile directory. If I am going to be doing a lot of crafting I load up my crafting settings, then switch back when I want to run around and play. It is almost as much of a pain in the neck as using the mouse on the crafting tools is a pain in my hands.

What about a summary to begin with? Or we just gonna guess about the hundread some odd posts of stuff listed so far?
I'll have a summery posted tommorrow. I have a lot of notes to go though.
They say they will be changing Personal Harvester creation to give GCXP instead of Structure XP. Great! Will they be able to switch the Structure XP I've already earned from making PHs to GCXP?
Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?
Oh, and DEFINITELY change the way Maintenance and Power rates are displayed. Make them all show /per hour and time left in a readable format.
Thanks!
Hello! I'm a novice chef and since the implementation of the new sampling events, the biggest break I've got in the game so far as been hurt: Macros. The first week or so all the entertainers were actually in front of their keyboards, now they're almost all AFK running a macro to next them xp. Well I tried using harvestors, but I found that the micromanagement and cost to keep them going to be too much. So once I figured out how to run a sampling macro, it was the first great bit of luck I've had in playing this game. It made it easier to play my profession (not having to rely on other people's resources through the bazaar.)
The sampling events do make sampling more exciting and fun. However, if you're running a macro, it stops you from collecting resources until you stand up and start sampling again (which might result in another event). My macro is still functioning and I will still use it, however I am not getting the same amount of resources I had got since before this last patch (which I really liked too, good job).
What I'd like to see: An option to cancel the surveying events, perhaps on the surveying tool since it is what is informing the character of the events. Or in the options panel, an "auto cancel / ignore". Or I was thinking you could have it specifically tied in with /afk. If you put /afk the events will not happen, taking /afk back off would re-enable them.
Not sure if this is the best place to put this concern, but sampling is an Artisan skill, soooo I looked and saw this thread. If this isn't the right place to whine, please let me know. =)
Anybody else like to see this changed or is it just me? Any other comments welcome. =)

Just kind of annoying that i have to sample longer does not make this game casual friendly!
