I have 5 crafting tools ( clothing ) and only 1 will work,the rest are stuck on downloading from data pad.

Yup, unable to "download blueprints" with my food/chem tools. Armor tools work fine. So for now, Im' an artisan, armorsmith but no longer a chef it seems since I am unable to craft any foods. Tried logging in a various times, moved locations, etc. Ping was around 110-113 the whole time.

Frustrating, to put it VERY mildly.

When I'm crafting I can't seem to get by this message. I am unable to craft because of it! Please help!

If you're on a slower connection, it might take a while to download the stuff from the server. At least, that's what has happened to me sometimes.

I started having the exact same thing happen to me directly after Publish 14. I am thinking this, among a few other artisan specifics, is a bug. I am on cable connection, 62-64 ping, no packet loss EVER...My Chem/Food tools get hung up on "Downloading Blueprint.."

Also, anyone else notice that a good portion of the schematics in our Weapon/Droid/Gen Tool has disappeared???

lol i am having the same problems and have tried using different tools to see if it makes a difference and get the same message. I am master weaponsmith and master artisan and cant craft a thing right now. I have a cable modem so i don't think speed makes a difference. IT'S A BUG PLEASE FIX IT

Hey SWG how about a little love for us crafters so we can get back to work?

The problem is widespread. After the very last publish I attempted some basic artisan crafting (survey tools, powerups) and recieved the message 'Internal server error.' All attempts after that resulted in the lockup at the display 'Downloading item blueprint from your datapad.' This occurs with all crafting tools with or without standing in front of a crafting station. SOE has effectively shut down crafting. I sent a bug report detailing the problem this morning.

I will send a bug report when I get home as well.

I seriously hope they have not removed those schematics permanently from the tool, and its just a bug. Or, if they have removed them, experimenting needs to be implemented into the General Crafting tool. Actually, I wish that was there anyway.

I'm on it.

I trust all of you who are having this problem have done /bug ? If not, please do so. That gives them internal tracking information for problem solving.

Please continue to use this thread for further updates, as y'all find 'em.

BTW, I cannot duplicate this bug on live. TC is down, or I'd test that too.

This is still a pervasive issue. It is not only affecting artisans but also medics/doctors etc, as we too have to craft stims/medpacks/enhancements etc. When I use the Generic crafting tool all is well. As soon as I try to use my food/chem tool, whether at a crafting station or not I get locked at the "dowloading blueprint from datapad" point. Problem is the generic tool is very restricted as to what you can craft. This si having a knock-on effect not only my medical crafting experience, but also my medical use xp, as I normally stock up on medpacks and march out to heal the masses...

This needs to be resolved ... PLEASE!!!

Yes, this is having an adverse effect on my ability to advance as an artisan. And it is also impacting my business as an energy supplier.

Those who buy my goods do so to power harversters and factories. If they cannot make a draft schematic for their goods, they cannot use their factories. And if they aren't using their factories, then they need not harvest resources to stock them with.

If you ask me, the crafting system was not broken before. The time and energy that went into making crafting stations clickable could have been used to fix something that really was causing issues. As it is now, anyone who needs to craft anything is unable to do anything.

This has gone on long enough.

I am rapidly losing patience, and cancellation is looking to be a tempting option right about now. Come on, SOE... FIX the problem already.
