Did some testing at the geo cave with my new ranger/rifleman alt on TC.... interesting results on thenew psgs.


Alt is lvl 80... crazed geos lvl 66


geos do base 56 damage to capped combat char...


Alt was wearing 6k RIS with a 2500 mark III psg....

initial damage blocked was 40/56... 71%

continued to drop as psg was knocked down... took about 3 min of tanking 4 geos to bring psg down to 1% efficiency. total damage being absorbed was then roughly 33....


Interesting to note, psgs now seem to regenerate while being struck! Im assuming that the recharge rate plays a role in this.


Im assuming that the higher the damage (say.... HUGE lvl difference) the bigger the chunk knocked out of the efficiency... but I like the fact that the protection is no longer constant. Adds depth.


If I get the chance ill test out a froggy psg against a higher lvl energy npc.... i DID try to take on a nest of lvl 80 klikniks... not pretty. Was blocking about 500/700 there

Well if you happen to have a char on Bria. Hop on TC4 some time and I'll set you up with a range of crafted PSGs (Some wigh high protections, others wit high regen rates) and you can compare the two and see just how the recharge rate affects things. It's oddly percentage based. Which doesnt give me a bloody clue as to what the difference is between a regen rate of 1 percent and 100 percent.
