Thread: What about enhancements after the CU? Rancor/Krayt scales.....

After reading up a bit, I realize that percentages are "gone". But I am assuming that just like our existing armor will be converting over, so will our enhancements.

So with that being said, has anyone got any info on what effectiveness the Rancor and Krayt scales have or will have on the new armor? What about the Rancor and Krayt segments?

Thanks.

The last I heard, no creature drops have stats to them yet. I think they are working on balancing other things first. Someone said they had looted some hides from a rancor on tc and they had 0 stats.

Isn't this currently how GDK scales are? Have any AS's tried crafting these statless components into armor?

They dont get recognized.

The main difference here is this. GDK scales, Harrower bones, and Gurk King hide. NEVER had stats. At least not the actual ris component ones. Their like the alderaan flora for dead-eye. (Except now flora doesnt have a serial number so you cant make dead-eye anymore)

Even if it did take them it wouldnt change anything as they are all statless.

I mean pretty much it seems CU is going this way. First they'll fix all the combat related bugs. And then.. maybe before the appocalypse they'll get around to fixing all the other bugs etc that they put into all the crafting and AS/weapon loots..

And then by the time christ returns to redeem our sins for one final time before the world explodes they'll actually have a properly finished product for once.

The krayt scales I've seen have +7 health bonus. Voritor scales have +3 health bonus. What is "health bonus" you ask. Good question.

Yeah the new stuff actually seems to have stats. but none of the old stuff does. For now anyway. Some how I'm wondering if they'll ever bother to fix that or if it's just going to be another big middle finger to the AS community.

My guess is that it will act as a temporary buff to your health bar when the armor is equipped. I'm assuming that +7 Krayt Scales are base stats or close to it. For the sake of arguement, lets assume that yellow named Krayt Scales will be able to get up to +25. A full suit made with such scales would then "buff" your health bar by +175. For a player with a health bar that's normally 3000, that would be about a 6% bonus. Now, this is all just speculation on my part, though. Its possible these new scales will work in a completely different way.
