Ok, here's my scenario.
I'm making runs of suits for people who want to use them after CURB. The question is, are the boots and gloves after the CURB going to do anything as far as protecting you from damage? I heard rumors that they don't do anything anymore, but I haven't had time to really check it out.
Can anyone fill me in on the info about this?

hands and feet are no longer valid damage locations to they removed all stats from those locations.

Removed all stats? So basically it doesn't matter if my boots and gloves are 90% sliced pieces pre-conversion... afterwards they have no stats?
Heh, actually. . . that sounds good... I can save segments and use them on other stuff. Thx.

IF you are planning to do what I think you are doing just make the worst stuff possible as long as it has 4 sockets available before you make the schematic. (currently) on tc of you refit boots or gloves they loose all sockets so what I plan to do is make a run of ubese, composite, and padded gloves to cover the 3 armor types so they wont need to be refit. I do have the advantage of having way to many factories so I plan on doing this 2-4 days before the CU hits in the event they change the socket situation. Also newly crafted boots and gloves in the CU will not have sockets at all, neither do ubese shirts, bando's, ormabari belts. If you know how long it takes you personally to run these items off I would sit on it till the last comfortable minute as things change on the fly around here and pre-CU gloves and boots can be more expensive to make then post CU dur to the changes in resource requirments.
my 2 cents.

Thx man, I really appreciate that kind of input.
It does help me in planning since those are some things I haven't considered yet.
Actually, the reason I asked about this stuff is becuase I'm working on a set of armor for slicing. (72% base) I only have enough of the really high end resources to make one full run. I didn't want to waste segments on pieces that wouldn't convert well anyway. I can save about 120 segments if I cut out the boots and gloves and use different resources for that stuff. That way I can make the 7 'core' pieces using the really high end resources and use lower quality segs for the extremities.
That adds about 6 more complete suits to the total.
