Which would offer higher resistances... assuming resource quality was not a particular factor.

So best case scenario go primus all the way. Unless I really want to stack a particular damage type up such as either energy or kinetic but not both.... Got it.

Ya, with the way layers are now, you can't really mix and match or you just end up canceling stuff out.

Actually, they would do worse than cancel you out. Assuming that both types of layers were of the same quality, the net result would be -2 Kinetic and -2 Energy.
