Thread: What's the logic behind these?
My Janta Hides and NS Shards originally said +0 Health, but last night they said +10 Health. NS layers still say +0 Health, so maybe they're still working on converting those.

Yes. Blix said they were scripting something to convert all the Armor loot components and that they should be done soon

I made some advanced assault armor biceps with some pre CU rancor hides I had that converted to +15 health. Used one hide per segment and 3 segments per core and each bicep ended up with a 45 health bonus. Equipping these boosted avatar health by 90 points.
Its very easy to apply these to single core items like biceps and bracers since cores don't require identical segments. Slightly more tricky to apply them to multi core items like chestplates and helms and pants but 3 runs of5 identical components will allow you to make a single chestplate. I am sure I have read on this forum that health bonuses don't stack across multiple core items so a 3 core item with each core at 45 health only yields 45 in total.
Hence, biceps and bracers give the best return.
All of my armor loot seems to have been converted now with the exception of ns layers that still have 0 health. I am hoping they will convert to health layers that would provide another health bonus route as long as it stacks with segment enhancers of course.
From memory here is a list of how things seemed to convert, some gaps here will update when I get home
1. Krayt scales -> +15 health battle seg enhancer
2. Janta hide -> +10 health ???? seg enhancer
3. Rancor Hide -> +15 health assault seg enhancer
4. Voritor Scales -> +5 health ????? seg enhancer
5. NS shards -> +15 health recon seg enhancer
6. Krayt segs -> 840 battle seg
7. Rancor Segs -> 840 asst seg
8. Reinforced Chitin Seg -> 840 assault seg
9. Kimo Scale Segs -> 840 ???? seg
10. Acklay Hide -> 840 asst seg
Haven't found any converted loot that seems to list itself as a core enhancer yet.
