"The crafting changes that were made are intentional and did change the game play for the crafters."

Why in the world did they not offer crafters a chance to respec then???? The change to Armorsmiths and Chefs are by far more extensive than the changes to many of the "combat" professions.

Perhaps because they one person could master all the crafthing professions and then make a life time supply of schemtics so that they will never require items crafted by someone else?

Well through the new ressources the playing filed of AS has been leveled to a certain degree. The one thing i wouldn't like to see is a bunch of players just respec to master AS and pop in as competition to craft their own faction armor and then respec back into the combat prof they need.

Yes, armorsmithing has changed but i have to say beside the trivial crafting mechanism (i always have 4 experimentation points left when the bar is maxed, lol) the ressources are replaced fast.

The current demand on armors in tremendous. Especially on the new available Faction armors. I doubt i would make such a good business when everyone could respec AS as he likes.

So, i fully support the respec abilities as they are in place today. I do dislike the level system and that entertainers cannot use armor as fashion, but that's another story.

That guy doesn't have any idea what he's talking about. Probably the most he understands about the changes are bullet points on a piece of paper.

Because I suspect most would respec to a combat profession due to the changes and then what little player economy we have left would vanish overnight!

How many medics/doctors are still medics/doctors I wonder?........

Even if someone were inclined to do this, how many would have the resource collection for it? Or the crafting know how? Maybe it could be done if someone wanted to spend millions of credits on whatever resources were easily available, and then make crappy weapons and armor. But it doesn't seem too likely to happen, imo.

If someone wants to respec to AS to make their own faction armor, fine let them. Most of them aren't going to have the resources to make decent armor, nor thepatience to stumble through the crafting system (even as simplified as it's become). And even if they're willing to settle for crap armor, with the way it decays they'll run through it fast and eventually come back to a real AS to get more.

Frankly, fair is fair, and the CU impacted non-combat professions at least as much as combat professions. We should get a respec too.

How is this even remotely true? I spend like 15-20 million so far on new resources and resource crates. Now I have most best spawn evers. How can a new armorsmith compete - especially with things Dath Fiber and the JTL aluminum. In fact, I would imagine that only fairly elite smiths will be making decent armor for a while.

Completely disagree...Im a newb Master AS as well as a player...I can make armor just as good or with 200 reistence points of my greatest competition...there's more to it than just resourses. Ignore assault armor completely, u can make awesome advanced battle and recon without havin to deal with dath fiberplast. It sells better than assault now....the system has changed, stop thinking comp. Not meant as a flame just blunt information.

Hate to be the barer of bad news, but comp armor is still the dominate armor. I get 12 calls for comp armor to every 1 or 2 on battle or recon.
