Reduce health increases gained by combat boxes by20%. This would be from 3000 to 2500.
Give armor a health experimentation line to offset the 20% loss of health. Heck Chapstick, you can even use UT to determine the base health increase! So between 7 armor locations, scattered around 500 health.
There, our super cool, megalicious, ultradeluxe, new and improved,great new taste,combat model system is not altered.Simple stuff.
If the developers feel up to a challenge, increase the health bonusto add more than 20%/500 health. This can be done at the cost of reducingarmor effectiveness. A bit harder to implement, but not impossible.
