I wish Armor Padding was removed from the game. The only way I've been able to get Armor Paddingis by either becoming a Tailor and making myself, or by gathering all the resources and finding a Tailor to make a schematic for me.
I just wanted to get that off my chest. Thanks for listening.

I hate it, too. The only reason I'd wear it is if I could name my character Q and make it red and black.

Maybe we can treat them like GDK scales now...
"Wookies, bring me 5 pillows and I will make you a set of armor!"

Still needed, and it has to be made after CU. Pre-CU padding converted into segments... go figure.

Isn't that the same with Synth cloth and Rein panels? Remove them all!

LOL! Dude, he said "armor padding", not "padded armor".

Why did they change armor padding into segments ? It's made by tailors not armorsmiths. I had 10 crates of nice padding that are now junk. They are making it even harder for wookiees to get armor.

The Armor Padding made before the CU converted over as Segments, and cannot be used. You'll have to trash it and run a new batch

This probably a dumb question. But, can u comission a tailor to make the armor padding schematic and then use the schematic in ur factory, even if ur not a tailor?

In regards to the armor padding. Does the quality of resource matter??

Quality no longer matters for armor padding, and I don't think tailors can even experiment on it now. I'm positive quality doesn't matter though, because my wookie armor comes out with the exact same stats as any other armor of the same type (recon, battle, assault).
When I saw padding was still required I figured that once again Wookie armor would be more expensive, but now I don't think so. A Wookie set uses less cores, making it a lot cheaper. Hides are much more plentiful now (hell I'm buying 20k stacks of hide on the bazaar), and because the stats no longer matter it can be made with generic hides from a recycler (well the non-wooly slot anyway). Finally, it should be easier to obtain from tailors now because they don't have to learn experimentation (and as an AS you can even go 0-3-0-0 if you want to use the skill points for more self-reliance).
