I think you looted segments, not the actual scales. There IS a difference. The GDK gives off segments and scales. And from what I have heard, the segments are good for bone armor, but the scales are what you need for the R.I.S. If I am wrong, sue me... lol

Are there different types?

If so...what types.

I looted a bunch of scales off a GDK, and they all said they were "perfect for bone armor". are the RIS components the same thing? or do they actually say Use in Crafting RIS armor?

GDK Scales do not have stats on them, but they ARE a component in RIS armor, so you can definitely get some $$$ for them... not sure what the going rate is right now....I'm not quite RIS certified yet (1 more part of the quest to go, and gathering the resources).

um if the have stats and look like attachments those aren't it, u might have gotton kimoligia scales? but if thats true that sucks

I read on the armorsmith forum that they have no stats. Is this true?

I looted 9 GDK scalesthis morning and when i examined them, they had no stats. I was happy

(even check them a few times afterwards just to make sure) But alittle while later, i dropped them in my house and now i see stats on them

They look like armor attachments, any ideas how i can tell if they are the RIS components or not?

those scales are not common at all

probably killed about 40 GDKS for 11 scales
