We can still make better armor. I suggest pushing as much faction armor as you can before ROTW comes out.

I may be a little tired.... I'm just saying sell a lot of armor now before the masses get wise to the fact they really don't need us.

Second-hand info:
Katarn Armor
Class: Battle
Resists: 5664 Base/Kin/Energy
Not as good as can be crafted, and only for one class. But even so it is very cool armor, and not terribly hard to get I hear.

We will still be needed - but not to the extent as before. I'm just going to specialize in really high end rebel armor and once I get the cores in order not even stock a vendor and probably move on to a different profession as what i do primarily.

The pieces I saw were just over what I can currently craft. It was about 5600. Not bad... Not great... VERY nice looking though. It does require bio-linking (free) and is battle armor.

well a great smith using server best resources should be able to layer faction armor up to 8k special, or in the case of battle 6500 kin/energy AND with loot at 315 (or more! with feathers) to health.... this pretty much blows away the clone stuff....

5k protection? Is that all?
Are there other benefits to wearing this? I can layer any suit to 1k above that.... and with base loot it gets even better.
