Sorry if this has been covered, but the search option is not working...
I have a RIS Helmet and Chest peice. I had a good friend make them a while ago. Before the CU, the two peices had better stats that most Composite did. Now, after the CU, my armor has been turned into crap... The stats are now somewhere around 3400 down the board... this is WAY below par compared to what's being made now.
I am curious though, there is an option for me to break the armor appart into segments or whatever. By doing this and giving it to an armor smith, can they recraft my two peices without having to get the GDK scale, woolimander bone, and gurk king hide? Or do I have to go out and find that stuff again and get it crafted from scratch.
Thanks ahead of time.

yes the armorsmith can dismantle it for the RIS segments and use these to add to RIS appearnace with whatever battle cores he/she has made

Now how would I deal with this in price? I have an armorsmith of Starsider that said he'd make RIS 500k per-peice, being that I provide the dune kimo scale, woolimander bone, and gurk hide.
Is this "segment" pretty much all three of those rare peices in one, just so I don't ahve to get them again? I'm just wondering because I don't want to get shafted when it comes to price.

Personally, I think 500K a piece is way too much if you are supplying the rare loot.
RIS is basically regular Battle Armor + a RIS segment (which requires the GDK scales, Gurk Hides and Woolamander Shards).
Without the rare loot, it's basically another set of hand-crafted Battle Armor+ another 9 steps to make the RIS segments.
If all rare loot is suppied, I only charge 100K for non-layered and 500K for quad-primus layered RIS.
The reason for this is if the customertrusts my skills enough to have me make his RIS, he's bound to come back to buy regular armor and bring friends along in the future... And they do...
I know I'm very cheap here, but it makes me feel good that "I" made another set of RIS on the server.
