Is it possible to get an "amazing success" on assembly? (Not experimentation).
If so, what does this improve?Maximum experimentation? By how much?
Also, what about "critical failure"?
And is it worth experimenting (when making a schematic for factories) until you get an amazing success on assembly?
Thanks in advance.

If so, what does this improve? Usually your starting stats will start a little higher. If it was 11%, it will be 13% or something like that. Unfortunately this does not help with the max experimentation, which will be capped by your resources.
Also, what about "critical failure"? Critical failures on assembly are possible. If it happens you will lose any resources, but NOT sub-components, and no item will be made at all. It used to be that you lost the whole thing, but they changed it so now it's just the resources
And is it worth experimenting (when making a schematic for factories) until you get an amazing success on assembly? If there's more than 1 line you're trying to get good stats on, yes.
Thanks in advance.

Ok, thanks for the good reply.
Then I won't try to make Amazing Success, it's useless to waste resources to get more cond.
(since I can max the experimentation for protection without amazing success)

Hmm...Intersteing that you would write this. As an ol' salty WS I've had my share of critical failures on assembly. I have started to grind out AS and I've yet to have a crit. failure on assembly. (Countelss times on experimentation.) Are you sure it's still possible? From Newb AS to 2 0 0 1 (where I now stand) I haven't seen any crit. fails on assembly thus far.

Haven't had a crit failure on assembly, or anything besides great or amazing on experimentation since the CU. At least not on my MAS.
Whatever happened to critical successes on assembly? They were popular for awhile, but I haven't heard of them since.

I ground out the whole AS line from novice to MAS post-CU. I have also been running a fairly sucessful AS buisness for the last4 weeks or so and I have yet to see a Crit-Fail or an Amazing sucess. I might just have weird luck or something though oh and I don';t have any AS clothes or anything so just the basic mods that come with the tree.

If you look at the patch notes for the CU, Critical failures on assembly were removed from the game. You can still get critical failures in experimentation, but never on assembly.

That EXACTLY matches up with what I've seen.

I stand corrected. I guess I missed that particular note. My appologies
