(insert title here) Why have and show 10k resists when you can't even make it? Is it possible? I kinda thinking no or they have to be loot cores.

8200 is the max right now and will be until some kind of loot enhancers that raise resists (but not base as it is capped) is introduced. But I don't really understand your question. The only places 10k resists have been shown/talked about are in threads discussing the formula for armor ration to resists. The curve looks like it will flat out at 10k resists = 60% but that is mostly theoretical. Other than that I can think of no place it's used in anyway.

I thought tkm has the equivilent to 60%/10000 rating resist's? Hence when can we equal their armour protection? Or should we be able to if it negates the point to tkm?

The curve does notflat out at 10000 (60%) resist, rather it peaks at 11000 (60.5%) after which it declines.
Apart from this you could slice the armor which should add another.. 400 points or so.

CoB don't do anything with armor, it raises defence which in turn will make you harder to hit and lower damage done (if accuarcy >> defence weapon will do it's max damage, if defence >> accuracy it will do it's min damage and if they are close to each other it will fall somewhere inbetween) but it has nothing to do with the kind of damage mitigation armor (both crafted and innate) does.
