Thread: what would you rather have ??? max base or really high condition.

with the decay issues on armor with the CU your armor has a really limited life.
So you have about 3 options i can see....
1. Buy 6000 base armor with say 50k condition repair if lucky 5 or 6 times.
or
2. Buy 5000 base armor with 150 k condition ( this is possible as i made a wookie chest plae with 5500 base with 161k condition ) who know could have been a fluke. but this would allow for a lot more repairs, and more worth wild to add my AA's to since when the armor goes so does the AA's.
then there is the 3rd option
Don't die.
the difference in damage from 5000 to 6000 is only a few percentage points. so i would think it would be better
to buy the long lasting armor. but i always see every one is all concerened about base.
what way would you go??

It's only the wookie plate you can get that much condition on, all others you would be limited to perhaps 60-70k if you focus on condition instead of protection in both segments and cores. I would take 1k more protection over 10-20k more condition any day.

I agree. Most don't have a clue what all the numbers mean... but higher must mean better, so they'll pay hundreds of K for something only marginally better simply because the numbers are a few hundred higher than another set.
So... use it to your advantage and make whatever sells best. BTW, wookie chests have unusually high condition because they cover 4 areas ( chest, helm, and two biceps ). Thus, they will assorb a greater amount of damage than say their composite counterpart.

Really, You're kind of asking this in the wrong forum. There is a fraction of players in this game that do understand the importance of condition in their armor and look for that when deciding what to buy, but to be honest...most players don't even know what the resistance numbers mean! They just figure higher is better and go find the highest resist number they can find. They figure if the AS can make that high of resist then the condition will be good also. Most players search throught the vendors looking at the resists first, price second, and condition 3rd IMO.

It all depends on yor pocketbook. If you are rich, you go for protection, if not, you go for longevity. Do you like pickles?
