Thread: How do you all do it?
Disregard Aroogala's post.
Now, what you need to do is alot and I mean alot of work. You need to start accumulating the resources you will need. By either buying them or mining them. This is going to take a long time, such is the armorsmith's fate.
Create relationships with master rangers that play often for the hides you need. Or harvest them yourself. Post cu harvesting is alot more productive then pre cu.
Weekly do a 'tour' of the systems and survey for new resource pops. Find a website, there are a few, that specialize is recording resource pops and shifts. I usually time my trips to empty my harvesters, killing two birds with one stone.
After you begin generating income you can start purchasing resources, hides and 30k resources kits.
But #1 in my opinion is investing time, alot of it, to become succesful.

Sacrificing a wookie or a few bothans is a nice way to start appeasing the Armorsmithing gods..... ![]()
Seriously... it's time and dedication really. Money helps... it really does. But.. if you don't have that... you can always subsitute a friendly attitude, some serisous resource searching, and a couple lucky resource spawns any day. By the way, what server are you on? There are a lot of old time smiths who can help you out in-game with tips and tricks. If you're on Bria, look me up under Fiore.
Biggest thing is start earning a good rep early. Sell cheap and you'll sell a lot. Lots of sales... bigger profit margin. Just ONE run of 1000 cores is roughly 110 suits and if you sell for 200-250k each... well.. that's 20-25mil you have to work with. Get my drift? Do that 10 times... that's a hefty profit margin and good name with lots of return customers to keep you going.
Good luck. It's exciting. It really is! ![]()
hehe i pvp with my armorsmith... master smuggler. ppl always like mezzers. having great gear helps offset the 26 lvl difference... but im still a high target.
as for becoming an AS good luck, will take you months of spawn collecting... or you can spend 100m and get in the game now /shrug

how do u guys get resources of i dan when we can't handle butterflys
I gave up tailor and finished Pikeman after the CU. That pusts me at level 55, so most of the things on Dant still con purple to me... I always group with someone level 80 before I go to check my fibeplast harvester. They dont have to be there with you, just grouped so you can be level 80 too. If you are level 80 by being grouped, then most things on tamer planets wont agro you.

Well basically I was looking over the resource requirements to make some of the armors and I couldn't help but wonder how some of you master armorsmiths do it, I mean it takes so many different resources that it seems like it'd be hard to start out, especially if you prefer to mine your own resources. Do you just have to spend a lot of money on resources in spite of preferring to get stuff yourself for instance or do you just hope that good resources to use spawn at such a time that you don't have to pick one or the other to get?
drugs.... they help... and beer too
