hi im master smugler master rifles [both recon armour]yesterday i bought some recon armour sliced it got base7 percent on every pieceput it on and everything was great no encumbrance/ hinderance

died in it a few times condition now down to 93percent still no hinderance and loged out

on login today i notice 3 box's under my ham bars my armour is suddenly hindering speed accuracy and movement between 20 to 60percent on each piece the condition hasent changed as i havent been in another fight and i have no wounds or fatigue [not that that should affect it]

ive taken it off and put it on again and the hinderance is still there

is there a fix to this?

as master of 2 recon profesions i should surleyhave no hinderance at all?

thanks for your time and sugestions

My Bro is a MasterSmuggler and his sliced armour has higher encumbrance. I think that is the trade off for slicing armour. It is a small encumbrance add, so barely noticible. But not sure why if it didn't have it before it did after you logged on. He had sliced other armour and nothing happened until recently.

If you slice above the base 6000 you will get an increasedhindrance factor. My guess as to why it wasn't showing until you logged is that there's a nice slicing bug whereby the system doesn't seem to acknowledge the slicing done to an item until you relog. (All the suits I have sliced never show increased stats for me until I relog).

ahh great thanks guys ill buy a new set and not slice it re log and hopefully wont get encumbrance ...a 7percent to base just isnt worth -60percent wepon speed

ill post again if it happens with unsliced armour if not consider it problem solved

thanx again for your help

are you saying that it added -60% or is that the base stat that all recon armor starts at?

amror hindrnace mitigationgo like this with elite combat profs

recon - 20/40/60

battle 40/40/40

assault 60/40/20

or something like that hehe

what I'm asking is was the hindrance cost -60% more then usual?

My recon usually hinders like this before slice

18/37/58

It´s not so complicated as you make it. A few points:

1) You do not get any additional hindrance from slicing the armor, apart from what comes from the increased protection. Battle armor with 6000 protection base will have exactly 40% hindrance, sliced or unsliced.

2) This means that when you have a 6000 protection piece of armor (average protection), a master combat character certified to wear it will have no hindrance.

3) Assuming you have an unsliced piece of 6000 protection battle armor that you then slice, you will end up (see point 5 below) with around 6400-6500 protection and some 45% of hindrance.

4) You will never, ever, get a 60% hindrance to anything. If you can even wear the armor, the novice box alone will mitigate 10/20/30 percentage-pointsof the hindrance, and as the capped and sliced piece should get around 45% (battle) 22.5% / 45% / 67.5% meaning that a master character wearing this armor should get around 5%(battle) or 2.5% / 5% / 7.5% effective hindrance.

5) Slicing takes effect not (only) because of logging/relogging, but as a function of time - it seems that the server doesn´t update the stats after some hours. This can be 2-3 hours in some cases and it can be more in other cases. This is.. problematic.. to explain to my customers..

Its simple.

Look at the values before the slicing, thats defence stats AND encumberance.

Slice the armour.

ALL STATS increase by the sliced value.

ie, if slice was 8% times the defenceAND encumberance values by 1.08.

Wait 2 hours (ish)for the values to update.

You will incure a small penalty if the encumberance value goes over your characters mitigation value.

ie, Master Pistoleer gets 60% mitigation to recon, if any encum value is 61%, you'll have a 1% slowdown.

Have fun.

Yeah if you're getting -60% weapon speed, slice or no slice something is definitely going wrong Did a sliced set of recon a couple days back for a guildmate which came to 5344/7344/6344 and he only had -7% weapon speed. (Master Rifles/Master BH)
