Thread: Is it possible to get GDK scales now?

I have a friend that looted 17 GDK scales pre-cu. He gamve me 8 of them because he wanted a few peices of RIS armor for a deal of that I get to keep some for my own. I made the head, body, and legs and want to finalize my set. I'm wondering if it is possible to kill a GDK (in a group of 5-8) and if the scales loot has risen.

With root you only need 2 people, perhaps one if you have a good enough weapon (as a smugger/bh I have a hard time keeping up with there regen but it is possible for me to solo them if I try hard enough). And yes they still drop scales.

I've looted at least 40 post-CU, and I solo them too.

Yup, they are still dropping. Just picked up a stack last night after killing about 10 of them.


And soloable - A Smuggler/Pistoleer guildie solosthem all the time.

But it's much easier if you have 2 or 3 in a group.

You don't need 5-8 peeps if the fighters are all CL80 (or close to 80)

Just root him and shot him,get some parwan nutricake (burst run food) and since you using pistols, the cyber arms if you have, shouldn't be much of a problem. Just give it a try.

Killing them isnt a problem, its getting em to have something besides cores


I have killed 50 of them min post CU and have not got a single GDK scale.

Lucky you.... I went with a guy to help me and the scales were droping like 1/30... we spent all night there for 4 scales, but the hide was OQ for 895... so atleast I got something good out of it, and it dropped a butt load of advanced battle cores with stats from 1153- 3555.. is this the normal new drop for the GDK?

i remember i used to kill 30 GDK and get 1 scale if i was lucky. now you can killa fewand get20 scales, its insane. afterCU they areharder to kill, especially solo but its stillpossible.

The last time I went out there it dropped scales on the second and third spawn
