I need advice on almost everything: from whats the best way to get recources, to those helpful tips I wouldnt've known otherwise

Ooooh, careful there, bud. You're no noob, but it's not nice to poke the armorsmiths.
Please at least tell us that you've read the FAQs in the stickies (the Read These Links before Posting with Questions) and that you've read through the posts in the first five page of the forum minimum. And then after you've done that, I'm confident you'll have some specific questions to post.

Harvesters are better than hand sampling. Oh, you'll need customers too... pretty much the same process there too.
