I think it is wrong. I don't think the xp amounts for most of the stuff on swgcraft.com (especially armorsmith) got changed post-cu. I would try it once before putting all my eggs in that basket. I know that when I did my post cu grind, someone gave me some looted cores so I crafted an appearance (can't remember which one I tried) and got lousy xp from it.
The second question is no xp, doesn't change as you go up the branch and no, ubese doesn't give more xp because it has more cores. You already (supposedly) get the xp from the cores when you make them (of course they have to be done in the factory, so you really get no xp for cores). The only increase in the amount of xp in ubese over tantel as it uses more resources in the combine then the tantel (not counting the cores, synthetic cloth and RFP's or whatever).
I still think your only choice is the ubese shirts or the segment/core grind.

no, you don't get xp from factories.
