Thread: can u make 7k energy resist in chitin?

Chitinis anassault armor skin and thus uses an assault core. Those are + to kinetic and - to energy. Even using full energy layers I think you'd be really busy making 6k, if that is even possible. 7k, no way.

according to the armor cap and armor math thread, no. 5600energy would be cap using 4 primus layers. I have not dabbled with regular energy layers, but looking at that thread again it would only add (using the best resources) 100/-100 x 4 which would be 400 on top of unlayered defenses for assault armor. Still no.
