Stupid search engine isn't working so pls forgive my n00biness.

In the process of creating another char to craft RIS/BH armor for personal useand I was curious if the various CA's/Crafters Aprons are extremely beneficial to experimenting or is it possible to simulate their bonuses with Bespin Port?

Not that armorsmiths have an apron anyway.

Prlby assemblys are the ones worth it now, but most people get experimentation also for the hell of it.

AS experimentation CA's aren't as useful as they used to be pre-CU, but they're still somewhat useful. They'll help reduce the chance of a bad experimentation, and give you a couple extra experimentation points to help make up for a 'good' or 'moderate' experimentation result (which could be useful for the RIS appearances). Now that critical failure on assembly has been removed from the game, I don't see what value assembly tapes have anymore; personally I wouldn't spend the money on them.

What does assembly do for you anyway? You can't fail an assembly anymore, and I've never seen (or read about) any difference between a good and an amazing assembly.

The main benefits of experimentation CA's is that you will 1) very rarely have a good success or worse when experimenting, 2) make better PSGs because you can fully use all your points, and 3) make armor with slightly higher condition.

The FS experimentation line will do the same thing as 1). Bespin port has a similar effect. Only the extra experimentation points will affect 2) and 3). You just have to ask yourself if it's worth it.

If you're just starting out, I'd say 12 points aren't worth it. You've got better things to spend your money on. But there will come a time if you stick with AS long enough, that you'll have the money to say what the heck and just do it.

I got a little worried for sec, just bid 19 mill on a +20 AS experimentation CA and started to think i had just wasted allot of money.

A 12-point suit is way cooler than any glowbat. Just ask anyone on this board .
