I looked around some and didn't see this on the immediate page, however I assume it has been asked many times. So sorry in advance. What are the sockets for in clothing? I assume for skill enhancements which I had heard are broken and have heard are fixed. Can anyone confirm this? And if they are working, who makes the skill tapes?

AFAIK, all skill tapes are looted. You can put up to4 in any peice of clothing (depending, of course, on the number of sockets)

I have a Ubese helmet and when I examine it, one thing says sockets available: 2. What can I do with these two sockets?

Hello

Sockets are needed when you want to put a clothing attachment SEA into a piece of clothing. Each modifer in the attachment takes up one socket, so if you have a lot of clothing attachments to use, then having sockets in your clothing would be a good idea.

A piece of clothing can have a maximum of 4 sockets by the way.

Ah, thank you very much for your help. I'm now looking in the catalogueswith the different clothes available. I have to find a cool setup for my swordsman . Right now I only have a cammo duster and ordinary shirt, pants and boots, duster is fine, but the rest *yuck*

Thanks again for your help.

New AS here. I checked the stickies but didnt see any reference to a question I have.

What dictates if or how many sockets a peice of armor will have when crafting?

Thank you,

You must be master to have sockets in your stuff.

I have also noticed that with higher end Armor Assembly SEAs, FS Crafter (Assembly) skill and such, the # of sockets per piece averages higher...3 to 4 on most of my pieces...Higher resource stats may increase thee as well, but I have not confirmed.
