I have a poop load of Peko Peko Albatross feathers.......Are feathered appearance enhancers worth making and what do they do for armor when used?

They are used to enhance the health of a piece of armor. Read this in Thula's guide to enhancers and loot that is in the stickies above for more info.

This is the final step of the creation of armor and when working with enhancers, the appearance is almost exclusively hand crafted. Hence, these enhancers are very easy to use and most of the time required if you want to reach the +50 health cap on an armor piece.
Thats what it said in the stickies. But I was asking anyone who has used them if they work(heard they are bugged), if they are worth using and how to use them.....none of the above questions are answered in the stickie.

That's not what you asked,
but an answer to your question, yes they do work. The only problem is a display bug, but they do add health bonuses. Further down in the FAQ he does describe their worth, how to get them, and when they are put into the armor. Keep reading.

They work, are no longer bugged (well, you can use them), and are worth making. They are the easiest way to enhance any armor. You cannot, however, see the bonus on the feather until you put it into a feathered appearance enhancer, which can be used on any armor.
FAEs are necessary for hitting the +50 cap on most pieces of armor. Nightsister fragments are the only +20 segment enhancers I have seen that would let you hit +50 with segments alone. +15 seems to be the best you can get for krayt scales and rancor hide and the like.
