So heres the question. With the innate +1k kinetic -1k energy on assault, can you hit 6-6.2k on energy with assault armor? Is it possible? or is energy capped. I tried a quad energy layered piece of comp armor just to test, and both energy and kinetic fell under 6k. This is with -90 +89 energy layer and most of the best resources possible on all combines.
I'd just love a way to make BH Armor or Mando somewhat useable vs jedi. 6-6.2k energy would be ideal.

Just made some a hair over 6k kinetic and a hair under 6k energy.

I would assume that BH Armor has the exact same limitations as normal Assault armor.
Your layers, if assuming +89 would give you approximately 1070 more energy to the armor, so unless you didn't cap the armor coresyou should be getting above 6k energy.

kinda funny BH go againt energy damage dealing sabers and they get assault armor that protects mainly againt kinetic. o well

style, you know? no you dont... stupid jedi
@topic, my first batch of E layerd armor was6165 E assault armor (put it into shock trooper armor) with +97 E
now im using +89 E layers, but still reach 6090-6100 armor

the highest theoretical energy resistances for assault is 6200, but realistically you are probably looking at around 6100. 6100 energy would put kinetic resists at 5900. i prefer to use primus layers though to raise energy resists on assault armor. using my servers best resources, this gave me, 5577 energy and 7577 kinetic. the energy resists are about 500 lower than energy layered armor, but that only equates to blocking maybe 2or 3% more damage. the kinetic resists however, are over 1500 points higher than energy layered assault, and that's a much larger difference. it just seems you get alot more out of primus layering it than energy layering it, so that's the way i tend to lean.

I tried several combonations of energy and primus. My layers were around 89 for en, 42 for primus. There are actually 12 layer posibilities for armor, not 4. What I went with was 11 energy layers and 1 primus. The primus was to insure that both energy and kinetic were over 6k. I can out with 6052/6028/5957 stats. Had I gone with all energy, my energy would have been a hair higher of course, but my kin would have droped below 6k.

cooking up some segments with 2 primus and 2 energy layers in them (health enhanced of course) using server's best resources. I'll let you know how these turn out later when I get home from work

Instead of all this thinking outside the box, just give in to the fact that BH is best stacked with a recon armor capable profession, like rifleman, for serious jedi hunting. Why compromise or ignore common sense? Then grab a smidgen of CM and you've got your jedi hunting killa, complete with 7.7K energy resistant recon armor. Creating assault armor with high energy resistance will produce the results similar to the Spork. Spoons are for liquids, forks are not, and attempting to ignore that rule creates an inferior product.

Great way to put it! LOL
