Thread: Armor Hinderance?

Do looted cores cause mastery professions hinderance? My friend is a MBH/Master Pitoleer/0004cm and is getting armor hinderance for wearing his Assualt Composite. It's the armor, as he's tried it on his other toons also. Can someone please help me figure this one out?

Was it sliced? Slicing causes the hinderances to go up beyond the mitigations.
