Because then it would work like Ubese shirts... It wouldn't be classified as armor. A jedi could wear it then

Well ubese shirts don't take AA's anymore do they? They take CA's now so they are probably counted as cloth.
Btw what lVlagus is trying to do if it really works sound very much like an exploit to me so I sure hope it does not work.

ubese shirts take CA
ubese shirts count as armor
if anything pops up on the armor tab in your clothing and armor crafting tool (as opposed to the clothing tab) it counts as armor when you wear it

Once again, i've stumbled on a post claiming exploit, when in fact its a well known bug thats almost a fact of SWG life. Here's the deal: cheater armor sets, exploit or no? You only have to wear chest, boots, gloves and helms... forget all the other pieces because you wont get hit there anyway. As an armorsmith, I'm sure you have sold thousands of credits in armor to people using this method. Possibly even bundle it as a set in this fashion, why? Because its a fashion statement? hard to find / craft pieces? No... its a known bug, and as an advantage to players, I guess its and exploit. Well, when there was an armor "hole", what would you call that? Dev-sploit, thats what i call it.
Anyway, to use AAs semi indefinitely, here's what you can "test" (as I've never done it, I don't PvP and don't use AAs). Make arm pieces (biceps/bracers), my favorite is bracers because they can be used with Ubese as well for PvE. Make chitin because you can get the HAM very very low, but for fashion you may take padded or composite. Stats wont matter, make it as basic as you want, low resists. Get 4 sockets. Get in combat and get it damaged (Nova Troopers or SBDs work well). Repair with <10% repair kit, hopefully you fail = 1/1 condition. If you don't fail, go kill more SBD. Even if you do, you need to get another hit on that bracer, so that it's 0/1 condition. Now I don't think you can actually get 0/0. The piece is now broken, but since armor works the way it does and MODs work on broken items, you know have a "cheater" set with 4 - 20 AA sockets which will never stop working (until they fix it.. which as an Armorsmith I am all for, but I just hate that certain people continue to use "working as intended" functions of the game while the casual player continues to get the shaft).
Be interested to know how this works.

Sorry but that doesn't quite work. The thing of it is that you don't get hit in the arms if you don't wear anything. But if you are wearing broken armor bracers, instead of none at all, you will get hit for full damage there. While you barely ever get hit in the bracers, one or 2 specials there will really hurt, specially if your using broken chitin.

AFAIK Ubese Shirt's/Bandos, Tuskin Helms, Black Sun helms, and Nightsister Biceps are ALL considered armor and will not let you use powers or saber specials. ANYTHING that takes an AA is armor in that respect.
Oh yeah, PSG's as well. I'm sure there is more.

Exploit = using a bug/"system not working as intended" to your advantage. If you could intentionally use an armor hole to your advantage it would be an exploit yes otherwise it's just a bug. Just because it's widely known and everyone is doing it and it doesn't get fixed quick does not mean it's not an exploit. Just look at using factories for storage, when the devs finally fixed it they called it an exploit.
