Hi all,

yeah, i spent some time with nightsister. So i finallly have 87 nightsister armor shards in my house .

the stats on HAM reduction go form -10 -10 -10 to -19 -26 -23. Nice stuff so far. As a rifleman/doc, i really need Armor with low Mind-encumbrance. So i have a couple questions:

1st. How many Shards can i put into a full set of composite? (i hope i dont need to go to dathomir again this planet is boring and has 2 many trees )

2nd. How many Shards go into 1 layer? and does the encumbrance reduction stack?

I have only these 2 questions since i dont know much about AS

If there is anything more to say about shards, shoot!

Ohh...btw...buy RESOURCES for composite armor on Shadowfire (hopefully some AS sell me thier best so i can choose the verybest) Also selling Nighsister armorlayers (3% baseeffectivines -5 on Action encumbrance) on shadowfire.

Thx for yer help! /Cheers for all AS out there

Cheers Lelaina

Nice shards!

If you want a full set of composite you need matching serial numbers on all the parts but the gloves.

  • Each bicep = 3 shards with same serial number

  • Each bracer = 3 shardswith same serial number

  • Helmet & Pants = 4 shards with same serial number

  • Chest = 5 shards with same serial number

  • Boots = 3 shards with same serial number

SO unless you have ohhh....22 shards with the same # ( I don't think so )

Its gonna cost you a grand total of 29 shards (thats if each part is made with a set of different serial numbers) because composite calls for factory crates of the same # you need one shard extra per segment.

And there you have it...oh, and no, the HAM reduction does not stack so 2, -10 shards will not lower the HAM by 20..it will be 10....if I remember correctly.

Just checked...

if only the serialnumbers for each armorpiece need to be the same...it no prob lol...(shards drop in quantaties on 3 to 7)

ill ask the armorsmith in my guild to try if the pieces stack..

and well...the9armorpieces with shards (-10 HAM if i dont use the good ones) will still help a lil (-90 on encrumbrance )

thx for yer help Jekkra

cheers lelaina

PS: think i have some shards to sell now ..lol...wuts a good price for regular shards (set of 5 or 6 with same serialnumber)?

My read on shards and nightsister layers is that they are really not worth the time for the payout.

Yes, at face value, they seem extremely attractive but it just takes way too much time to produce a suit that will probably get screwed by poor experimentation or most likely a slice you do not want.

Endstate, there is way too much variance in the slice to make paying and using these things on a regular basis worth the effort.

I can produce 5 chest plates with 80% special and 65% base w/ reasonable HAM and have at least one of them slice for 84-85% on the base. Also, translate this to encumberance if you're looking for that.

IMO, if you have them handy great, otherwise it's a huge waste of time and money given the extreme variance of our endproducts.

Put it this way - NS are currently dropping some of the most sought after loot in the game, so any shards or layers you grab are gravy. I sold two sets of heavy duty clasps for 2mil, one very nice lance for 320K, and a bunch of lances on the bazaar for 6K. Not to mention the bicep that I can't decide to sell or not.

I say go for it. If I ever get enough I think it'd be fun to have a few pieces of triple NS layered and sharded comp.

cant stop killing em lol

NS Armor shards are nice, but i'm a bigger fan of the layers.

Getting segs made with 2 runs of NS layers, a run of stun layers and a janta hide/ns shardcan create the best armor in the game, pray for a good slice.
