I've got a thread running in the Tempest forums with info as I make it, and play around with it. Screenshots there too.

Find it here.

Summary:

Making 55% kinetic, 23% energy/blast/acid/restraint with 9 points into Resistance, and 1 in Quality.
Making 33% Kinetic, 35% energy/blast/acid/restraint with 9 into quality, 1 in resistance (still using max Kinetic segments).

Armor Padding is 4% base, 6/8/6 (95% experimental result on the base.. don't know when it hits 5, guessing its like base on layers).
Adv. Segment is 18% kinetic, 6% base, 10/13/10

Seems like its very similar to Chitin

Oh - one change from test center (don't know when this was added) - all the segments have to be identical now, not just similar.

i'm not getting quite your numbers, but yeah, it seems to act a lot like chitin...

The adv segments take endor deciduous wood, and yavin leathery hide.

Other than that, and some generic "wood" for final assembly, its all common AS resources that they should have in their crafting stash (polymer, fiberplast, copper etc).

It's more like Ubese

Sorry guys, with those HAM cost the same as for any no wookiee that wears armor, this does not look very balanced.

I suppose the key now isprying the padding segments from the cold dead hands of the tailors who don't want to make them.

Actually Elood, I made 56% kinetic advanced chitin very similar to this on shadowfire (I'm also Whirp there) a while back.

Yes, the HAM costs are low relative to a full 7 pieces of ubese, or 9 chitin/composite.. really low.

Though they were going to try and balance the encum cost. I don't like this at all.

I'll also be curious to see what the decay rate is like.

With the Chest covering (visually at least) the biceps, chest and head, I don't expect that 22000 condition to last long.

First set for me got 50% kinetic and 23& effectiveness.

Any stats on the Padding Segments, and what Tailors should be experimenting on?

Edit: NM, I read your original post again, you called them Armor Padding, that went right over my head.

Padding segments only have 2 bars to experiment on..

Durability - usual condition and HAM's
Quality - raises the base (same as layers it seems.. from 1% to 5% base range)

My padding segments came out at 4% base (95% quality), 6/8/6 HAMs
