  • You can experiment on 2 stats: Durability (hams) and Quality (protection)
  • Masters get 10 experimentation points, same as everyone else
  • The pertinent stats are:

    • Armor action encumbrance: 50% OQ, 50% UT
    • Armor health encumbrance: 100% OQ
    • Armor integrity: 50% OQ, 50% SR
    • Armor mind encumbrance: 50% OQ, 50% SR
    • Armor Effectiveness:50% OQ, 50% SR

    Hey guys.

Just wanted to pop in and ask for your opinions on this component item [information on the Tailor-made item above]

I have no clue about armor, or experimentation.

Where should we place the allotted points for a HAM friendly suits?

Where should we place the alloted points for a Protection friendly suit?

Just wanted to say that as many tailors there are who oppose this new item in our tree, there are in fact some of us who areexcited, and willingto give this a try. All I ask is if you can help us out with what we can do for you with this item, because we have absolutely no freakin idea.

    Thanks for your help.

Generally, you will want to max out the Quality to get the best possible protection values. Most players don't care about the HAM costs on armor at all.

So would that be dumping all the points in[integrity] and [endurance] ?

Sorry, as I said, I have no clue about experimentation OR armorsmith.

It depends if it goes like our segments you probably want to get around 4% on the Armor padding witch should be around 7- 8 experimentation points, and that would leave you with2-3 for the HAMs, heck if you can get to 5 or 6% with 8 experimentation Points cool...

And Crinton is right most armor wearers dont care about HAM costs, and so Far the HAM costs on this suit of armor for the wookiees is looking light... around 300 to 400 witch is really light for a wookiee...

keep in mind Armorsmiths who are going to be making this armorin volumeare going to probably want it in a schematic an will bring you their resouces for the schematic... Eliminating the problem of using your resouces that may not be top notch on the Padding...

Should place most of the points into the Quality (Protective % line) and the Rest in the Duribility Line (HAMs)

    No...thank you.

I just finished reading what was supposed to be an informative thread on this new armor. Mostly it was a few people complaining about the padded segments.

I hope most tailors will see this as a good thing. It should provide a steady income stream as you develop relationships with the armorsmiths in your area. Good communication will be a must for this, as there are manyqualities of the armorthat can be effected by this component. I'm guessing there will be a few "builds" of the segment that are the most popular and you'll wind up with some schematics in your datapad based on these requests.

My only dealings with tailors have been for a few schematics and sets of clothes. It seems obvious that this game was intended to be inter-profession dependent. Considering this is a Master Tailor component, it provides more evidence of this. I look forward to developing these business relationships, I find I spend as much (or more) time chatting with others than doing serious "work".

Good luck on new business dealings. Too bad you're not on Kettemoor, I'd look you up.

What should i charge armorsmith to make them a padded segment schematics? I also have +15 clothing experiment and will be getting +20 soon. I'm thinking 50-100k atm, but when i reach +20 maybe around 150-200k...Let me know what you guys think

I would say around 150k once you get the +20 based soley on the fact that you will havemore points to experiment with than the average tailor. You would make a nice profit, and the armorsmith would get a schematic that is a step above most on his/her server.

It's going to be hard to determine a price before we find out how much of an effect this component has on the final suit. Using PSGs as an example, the components have absolutely no bearing on the final combine. It's determined by the mineral resources alone.

Hopefully, the experimentation will make a difference. This will encourage the Tailors that want to make the segments to focus on what the experiments are doing. It will provide a challenge to the tailor for a good product, and both to seek a good business relationship.

I see it as a good thing. Even though I need to find a tailor...quickly. There are a bunch of anxious wookies in my guild.

Maybe the devs will let tailors make composite armor next.

They should make the tailor component the same as clothing, no experimentation on it.
