I'm master artisan and master arch already and I was wondering how much tailor do I need to get by. The wookie armor is not that big of a concern to me since I can get the padded crates elsewhere but even that would be nice to make by myself. I am concerned mostly about comp and ubese tho. I tried to make my 1st chitin set today and I needed a component from field wear 2 as I'm sure you all know. So before I go any higher up the merchant tree I thought I might ask all the Masters here. Anyway thx for your comments.

I also need to know what I should grind to first, second etc . Whats the best spawn types for my main to hunt for the leather, bone and such. I guess thats it. Thx again

I feel like such a noob lol

a couple of questions

how far are you now on armorsmith? what type of armorsmith do you want to be?

this being said: read the hologrinding post up top to know what to grind, i am sure the tailor boards have something similar. If you want to make your own cloth and panels you need feildwear 2. the quality does not matter so you really dont need any other tailor. I personally just get schmatics from a tailor and do my own factory runs. It shouldnt be to hard to find a tailor that will do this for you, some will some won't, just be sure to compensate them

why I ask about what type of armormsmith you want to be.

you ask what spawns best for leather etc........if you want to make good armor, you need to start getting resources now. Look what resources are needed for composite. polysteel copper, kiirum steel, etc. Also check ubese and others (auxidite iron) and you will always need wooly hide.

if you dont start now, you will mis out on a shift of a resource. Go to swgcraft.com and check out the requirements for composite, you can also see what resources are in shift on your server.

have fun

I'm just 1000 so far. I'm VERY interested in hearing this news about chitin. I would like to make all the armor types. My main char is pretty wealthy already so I'm really not needing to make a load of cash. Plus I'm Master arch already and Master art. Armorsmith locks like fun to me. But to be honest its the RIS and Mand armor that settled it for me.

I've been stocking up on hide for about a week now but its not that good of stuff, jus fambaa hide but i've got about 9k so far. My main is master pistol and master ch so I shouldn't have a much of a problem getting what I need from creatures.

My main concern is skill pts. With 2 masters already I'm a bit limited and after seeing I needed field wear 2 for chitin I thought I might ask before I put any more pts in merchant. I haveno medic or combatat all. I'm planning on taking merchant up to where I get the vendor on the map thing. With the extra pts I can make thepadded piece for the wookie armor andall the experimentation in tailor but will still be lacking the +20 that master tailor has. Or , I can take more merchant and just have field wear 2. Thats mainly where my concerns are now.

Thx for the help man

i just finished redoing my vendors this past week, no probs with the merchant profession. nothing is bugged that I know of. Just finished redoing the hiring tree so I could put composite on one of my npc vendors and wookie armor on my wookie vendor

not sure what you mean by how effective merchant profession is? to me it was a way to set up vendors and get a cool shop.

Just one other thing to add, if you want to be an Armoursmith AND make GOOD experimented wookie armour your going to now need the assembly line of tailor as well, as it's tailor experimentation that counts experimentingon the component armour sections for wookie armour.

a couple of things: you can get your merchant up and get on the world map and then drop merchant. You will still stay on the world map and keep all your vendors.

if you are going to be master armorsmith you can do something like this......do the vendor tree on merchant till you get all the vendors. the max is 6. You are arch so you could have: 1 vendor for furniture, 1 for deeds, 1 for composite armor, 1 for ubese, chitlin, kashyyyk and others, 1 misc and psg vendor, and still have 1 more vendor for resources or a satellite store.

I personally have 2 shops with 3 vendors each shop, one for armor, one for resources, and one miscellaneous vendor in each shop.

after you have all your vendors placed drop all of that tree. Next, do the advertising tree, and get them all on the world map, drop that tree. If you want you could then do the hiring tree and get uniforms for everyone (you can clothe the vendors), or you can do the second tree first and place a merchant tent. When your vendors are how you like them, drop all of merchant and all of the business tree, you will still keep all vendors and all will stay on the map.

this frees up those skill points you are looking for. also alakhazaam.com has a character generator that calculates all your skill points I may be spelling it wrong but it is the first link on the fan sites at starwarsgalaxies.com links page. after you have merchant, drop it!!!

does that help??

Hehe, I thought about that but I seem to recall something about them fixing that. If not I'd hate to get all that done and then SOE says poof we fixed it and you now have to find space for 400 items

I'm not to sure how effective merchant is anyway. Whenever I need something I just ask around or stumble across it by chance. The whole prof is kinda borked IMO. Maybe I should just get a ton of tailor and Nov DE for the vehiclecustom kits.

Thx agin BTW
