I hear people talking about high end armor, what are the stats on these high end peices? I am not as much concerned on paying 10k more as not getting someone who has just ground his way to armorsmith selling me a peice of garbage and calling it uber wookie armor, rough numbers would be cool just to get an idea. some armorsmith told me he has 16% res and 40% base for regs. i have no idea about advanced. does anyone know?
oh yeah, are these the only 2 types out right now?

Yesterday I was able to make four suits, each with 32% kinetic, 12% base resists. That was using standard segment and decent materials. Using the advanced segment and high quality materials, I expect to see this aroubd 40-50% kinetic and 17-20% base. It's roughly equivalent to Chitin armor, though, so you should use that as a pricing gauge. I sold my pieces at 5k for the chest plate, 4k for the leggings, and 2k each for the bracers.

the armor quality will depend on Resouces that the smith has around... and what the server has..
Yes with good resouces, You could probably hit 30 to 40% base... but then the special protection of this armor (Kinetic) would suffer..
I freely admited yesterday that my armor was not as good as it could be, because eclipse was suffering from a poor resource shift on the endorian Hard Woods... and still is...
With a better Hard wood and a better Yavin Leather, I could probably get a Base of 10%+10% for the adv. Segment+3% for the Armor Padding,... So a starting 23% in the armor before Armor experimentation...
After expeimentation on the crafting of the armor, You could look at a suit that is 33 to 39% Base get a good 20 to 30% Effectiveness slice... and you could end up close to a 45 to 50% base restances..
But also Keep in mind this armor will never be better than composite, THIS IS A Low Level Armor very akin to Chitin armor...

best i have heard about on gorath so far is 53% kinetic 26%base, this really cool armorsmith by the name of talix sells em, i think hes a cool guy and hes cute too
i crack myself up...

dammit accidentally submitted..
thats with 7 points into special effectiveness and 3 points into base effectiveness, which turned out to 80% special effect and i think 44% base effect or something along those lines

I was able to achieve 53% Kinetic 17% Base
However i could have made the base higher but i chose to experiment down the encumberence.
Maybe today i'll make some high base stuff and see how it turns out.
BTW this was using POOR endorian wood and POOR Yavin leather ... I expect to eventually be able to make 60% Kinetic
