I just picked up Novice Armorsmith and started playing with making armor. When making the armor segments, it has a slot for enhancements. I've looked around the forum and found lots of things mentioned, but no explaination (read: simple explaination for the simple minded noob, me) of them. Would someone give me a simple explaination of what they are, what they do, where you can get them, et.c. If I missed the posts somewhere, please direct me to them.

Thanks in advance.

I've always wondered about this aswell, I presume if you are making something like a composite chestplate and you use an enhancement, as you need 4 identical segments for the armour piece you will need 4 identical enhancers right? Do creatures actually drop multiple identical enhancers?

The enhancements you are talking about are little extras that can add % or - enc from armour that are droped from mobs.

The most common enhancements are droped from vroiter (sp) lizards on Dant and add Energy% and kenitic% to any armour segment. So using one of these on a mambari segment would give that segment extra Kenitic% and add energy% to it. (Mambari doesnt have energy % normally so is usless V's most range weapons, so this makes mambari alot more usefull for low lvl mobs/pvp).

If the armour needs ident segments to craft and you want to use these enhancements on the armour, you need as many ident enhancements as you need segements as well as one extra to make factory schem. (i've had up to 11 ident enhancements drop before from 1 mob)

Hope that helps.

Good luck.

There's a list of loot drops in this post.

Most items are dropped in "stacks". Each having an identical serial number. This is required for several armor types.
