Thread: Does armor repair skill clothing work?

..I have a +23 armor repair belt and I'm a master armorsmith, out of 9 pieces with under half condition I repaired 8 sucessfully but it might've been pure luck, and I'm pretty sure 7/8 pieces that were repaired reduced condition.

I was able to repair someone a PSG using +20 repair tapes, never seen one of thos fixed.


Also have not seen a fail yet on the few pieces that I have repair, but most repairs are 10% to 20% above the lowest number.


Itseems that anyone who uses the repair cloths does that same a me.


My question is does being an armorsmith have any additonal effect or is it like being a 12 point crafter no skill is invalved, lol

I've repaired so much armor, and have given the armor kits to friends to have them repair their own...


From what I can tell, just from being a Master AS, I get no bonus at all whatsoever. You'd think I'd get an inherent bonus, at least with armor that I made myself.

i found 100% repair tools that someone made and it worked with little decrease to the condition and it worked every time

You know, for someone who hates crafters so much, you sure hang around our boards an awful lot.


There is no evidence that I have seen to know whether or not skill clothing helps in the repair. I have not personally noticed any difference. It seems that the repair tool is all that matters, however, I would say that it being used by a MAS would help out as well.
