Okay im in sort of a pickle here. Chest piece blocks health, leggings block action and helm blocks mind. But what do the boots, gloves, biceps and bracers block? The secondary stats? Why would you need to block them, they can only get wounded...

All armor only effects the secondary stats, It never directly lowers ham.
The six "sub" stats determine what special cost to use and how fast you regen HAM. So by wearing Armor you make a trade off
Lower Damage Taken = Lower Regen Rate & Higher HAM cost to use specials.
Many people over come this by buffing

Lol im not a noob I know what that is and stuff I mean...
Say if you have a 50% kinetic resist Ubese armor jacket, a creature hits you for 100 damage, you initially recieve 50 damage from AR1 and then another 50% comes off from the armors resists. Lets say that is a bracer though, what attack coming in is going to hit that?

Armor blocks damage specific to its location on your body, but does not block for any specific HAM. Helms usually block mind dmg, becuase rifleman aim for the head. However, if you are just auto-attacking, you will hit random pools on any body part you hit.

Each hit zone on the body is tied into your health, action, or mind. With the exception of the helmet, no one piece provides total coverage for a particular HAM. The breakdown for each zone and what stat it is tied to is as follows:
- chest, biceps, bracers, gloves = Health
- legs, boots = Action
- helmet = Mind
All damage is targetted to a specific hit zone on your body. When that body part is hit, you will take damage to its corresponding HAM. i.e. If you get hit in the hand for 200 damage, your health bar will decrease by that amount. To clarify further, if you just wear a chest plate and take a hit to your arm, you are going to take full damage that will be applied to the actual health stat.
