A simple question really. Is the designer (not TH, Q-3PO, or any other community rep) in charge of armorsmiths aware of the extremely low rate of GDK scale drops? I'm up to 24 ramdom and 2 static GDK's killed with one drop. I know others are even worse, and I suspect I will be as well.
When KD's were not working properly in PVE, Wepps (the BH correspondent at the time) kept pushing the designer to check out the code, despite being told numerous times by various SOE folks that everything was fine. Sure enough, the designer eventually found an error in the coding, and KD's were back to working as they should in PvE.
I guess I'm just wondering if the designer who put his time and effort into bringing us RIS armor is aware of the extreme rarity of only one component of the armor. I know that if I were him/her, I wouldn't want to see something I worked hard on turned into avirtual joke among the armorsmithing community because of some bug I wasn't even aware of.

Ah, but thats the beauty of it.. Its one of the few things in this game thats actually a challenge. Placing a RIS helmet on your head, and getting swarmed with compliments, or even with offers you couldn't have imagined, gives you a remarkable social status and a honorable prestige. Truely an accomplishment. I'd rather it be this hard, and only have a few throughout each galaxy owningthe set.. than a bunch of idiots spamming them for sale in coronet.
I know how **edit**ty it is getting scales... my first one drop on my very first kimo, yet i killed 67 of them before getting my second one. 23 for my third ... etc, and i don't blame you for wantinga better spawn rate, but thereward is worth the work. Just my opinion.

I understand your point of view, and respect it. The problem I have is that there's no challenge in killing GDK's. I get buffed, slap on my Ubese, load up my acklay hammer, find a random spawn and kill four or five GDK's before heading back from excessive battle fatigue.
I guess it's just wearing on me. I'm sure you're right though - when/if I get my interwoven RIS helm, chest, and boots (don't kill me for saying this but the other pieces are ugly IMHO) I'm sure I'll feel a great sense of accomplishment.
