i know that all u non wookies r gonna say oh no they have xtra 100 ham they shouldnt have armor, well our xtra ham doesnt do much at all. kash cerimonial armor is ok and is a big help for hunting but all these people with their badass comp can grind basic weapons skills on dant and us wookiess cant. my idea is since there will be madalorian armor that is supposed to have lower encumb and higher base then comp how bout put stun defense in the kash hunting armor? it would give us the extra edge to be equal in duels and not be a joke anymore.
disagreeing is kool but plz dont flame, i primarily want responses from wookiees to c if theyd rather have 80% kinetic or be the ones who can fight gainst geno pistols and krayt jawas.

Yeah... and balancing armor was mentioned in the last state of the game letter, so hopefully, stun will be removed as the end all be all of damage types.

You're jumping the gun a little bit my wookiee friend.
Wookiee's are slated to recieve 2 more armor types very soon (as mentioned above). We fully expect at least 1 of the 2 to be PvP worthy. Think of the Ceremonial Armor as the Wookiee version of Chitin. Decent Kinetic resists, but nothing to write home about.
Hopefully, the next armor will be comparable to Ubese (higher kinetic resists), and the 3rd and final Wookiee armor will the the Wookiee equivalent to mid-level, composite. I really doubt you're gonna see uber Wookiee Composite-like armor. Your race's increased HAMs will compensate for the slightly lower resists.
But then again, I could be COMPLETELY WRONG!!

Im not too sure why you are worried so much about stun damage, there are only 4 weapons that deal it (stun baton, tangle pistol, sonic pistol, and jawa rifle), and in all cases, the classes that use them have access to other weapons that are much more powerful. Personally, Id love either energy or heat to be the special and have 3 layers.

As a wookie fencer, I have found that the HAM cost on Kash Ceremonial coupled with the HAM cost of my weapons pretty much negates the fact that I am actually wearing armor. However, I am not going to complain until I get a crack at the 3rd armor type that is coming out. I only hope that the HAM costs on it dont trump composite, because I know that it is barely wearable without a full line of doc/ent buffs.
I am glad that wookies are getting some armor to use that allows us the ability to think that we will be fair PvP combatants some day in the future, but I am also saddened that there was not some other means of leveling our playing field without the use of armor in the first place (I know that is a very very old discussion).
However, I will definitely be trying it out and as an armorsmith myself, I will get the opportunity to test all the different ways of crafting it and find what I think works best for me.

I expect the more advanced wookiee armors will have layer slots (ie: we'll be able to layer in stun protection if it's a vuln)

as a tka buffed (doc/dancer/musician/brandy) I found that even with armor i didnt use any ham (while wearing my vk's).
The armor to me diffently opened up whole new playing feild. I could finally take some damage.
