Axidite is required. It's possible that it hasn't spawned on your server.(Unlikely though)
What server are you on?

Many of these resources only spawn about once every 2 months. Take the stun layer, it requires crism silicate ore. On my server it has spawned 4 times, the 1st 2 times were complete crap the 3rd one decent and only this 4th one was actually good. The Axhitide Iron is the same way. Spawns seldom, good spawns even more seldom.

Axidite came and went about 2 weeks ago on my server and I missed it because I had only just made master and still was just playing around =(
You can still make non-advanced ubese segments that don't require axidite. I have been doing this, and with some kinetic layers (using average resources) I'm ending up with 47% kinetic / 16% base ubese. Fine for me.

Ok, I was looking through the armorsmith trees, thinking of mastering it so I can make some bloody armor (AS's charge outragous prices on my server)
I was flipping through the components for Ubese, and the Advanced segment requires a certian "Axidite Iron" according to SWgcraft.com
Iv harvested resources, speceficly minerals, since release, and iv never seen this stuff, is it just becauase im blind/stupid and cant read, or is it something else? type on Swgcraft.com?
Any light on this would be great, thanks

Man, that freaking sucks..
Well the stun lair needs to be rare, but ubese? comon... lol
Ok ty guys, guess il have to just watch the resource shift closer

To add to the fun. It just spawned on Kettemoor...on one planet...Dantooine. It lasted 7 days.
I hope I don't regret not throwing all my harvs on it.

Now you know why the prices are so steap. Some of the resouces needed to make some of the higher end armor can take a long time to get. Even though you might be concentrating on Ubese right now, look into what is needed to make Advanced Composite segments. Each resource needed to make Adv composite segments are named resources and don't spawn that often (even rarer when they have good stats). Prepare for the future now and hold onto any good resource you may have until all the resources you will need are as good.
When i was climbing the Armorsmth ladder, i wasted 3k worth of really good wooley hide on crap armor just to make a quick buck. I really wish i hadn't done that now. Instead of focusing on Ubese right now (since you lack the resources needed), see if any of the resources needed to make Advanced Chitin are available.

I'm using axidite that is at least 5-6 months old, nothing comparable has spawned on corbantis yet.
Alot of making armor is just collecting the needed resources in enough quanities to hold you until the next good batch comes in.

Actually, stun layers do require a pretty rare/specific spawn in Crisim Siliclastic Ore. Sure, Siliclastic ore pops pretty often, but, the fact that you need "Crisim" is what makes it rare.
However, no doubt, Axidite is, by far, more rare than Crisim.

You had the same thought as me. Usually when I explain why I charge what I do for armor, ppl understand.
