Thread: How do I Create the BEST COMPOSITE ARMOR!

Hello fellow Armorsmiths...I am in search of how to make the best composite armor....I have seen on my server a set of composite that was 90% kinetic and 80% everthing else....If you have any Idea how I can make this, or something comperable,I would be very appreciative...thanks from your bothan armorsmith friend,

Its doubtful that it was 90% special and 80% the rest, probably 80/80 since special resists are limited to 80, and base resists to 90 after slicing (usually around 70 max before slicing)
But the answer to your question 'how do I create the best composite armor'
is very simple.
Have the best resources and have 12 experiment points.
Its as simple as that.

lol @ Lomar ... even if you propably weren't too helpfull ...
Crafting is currently capped to 80% and experience shows us that base resistances won't go much over 70% in the current crafting system. with great slice the best possible amrmor that is currently craftable is something like: 80%Elec,90%Base. BUT of course those nasty Krayts drop some fine Armor stuff now and then. Maybe you've seen a looted item?
on how to become a great Armorsmith: Lomar has pretty much reduced it, but he is absuredly right ...
... you have to watch and harvest ressources over moths on all the planets. pay hunters to get you the best hides in masses and have patience to experiment 100 times on an item until you get the perfect schematic. you'll have to wait four days and days for you factories while producing subcomponent after subcomponent. you'll have to make yourself a name and get a customer base. THEN GET RICH and repeat all that i said till now until you are REALLY RICH. with RR i mean something over at least 10millions you can pay without thinking of it. that done, start to buy experimentation tapes and make yourself an Armor Experimentation suit of +25 points. now you maxed out your Armorsmith abilities. reapeat this paragraph again and again until you hit REALLY RICH ... bang! ... there you are! welcome aboard and take a seat. you have just started a 2nd job. but nevermind this one is online and a lot of fun ... if you like beeing alone and rich ...

I suggest teaming up with an established AS if possible, initially help out with factory runs gathering resources etc
Imo it's the best way to learn and more fun, makes sense to share factories/storage/resources

i could help u with ur asmith only problem is im only 1-0-0-1 asmith atm and harvesting grinding res. im on infinity so ur probs on a dif server well just offering my services,

Thanks guys for your help...I am on a different server... I am on Radiant....but I would really like to know what tip of the trade you guys can tell me

TIP to a noob
if you want to know how to do layers, how to do segs, how to make good chitlin, what to do with seg enhances, what sells best, how to manage storage etc....I have all the answers for you
read all the related posts on page one of this board, then read page 2, 3,4,5,6, etc. all your questions have been asked before, don't mean to slam your questions, but you aren't the first to come asking. We are usually more than willing to help, but I am starting to tire of repeating myself, also I feel many others are the same way and you might not get the ultimate recipies you want.
troll these boards and dig up some old ones, everything you ever wanted to know is already here (go to page 50 you might get your answer)

If you want to make the uber l337 armor then you need the best resouces, get the best crism, best vertex layer for stun add some Janta to up your Base and make about 50 sets of armor. Then have them all sliced and you will probably getONE full set that is 34% Stun, 75% Electric and 90% base but the encumb is in the 800's.

Or just give all your best resources to me. That works for some people, too, and is easier than bothering w/ crafting.
