Hello everyone, im still fairly new to this AS stuff and have finally gotten my 80% kinetic suits up and selling.

What im looking to do now is making a few sets of LOW HAM composite, for grinders. If someone can tell me the following....

What layers should i use? Kinetic? Electric? 2 differenent types? what stats should be shoot when it comes to base vs encumberance?

Advanced Composite Segments, how many layers? what types? what stats should be shoot when it comes to base vs encumberance?

and finally the finished pieces? is 65% all around a good number to shoot for?

Thank you all.

You can run unlayered composite which will be around 55% base. Just an option

Use what ever layer you have the best OQ/MA for, i used to use electric but I've seen cold, and kinetic also.

I would probably make a 2% layer and pump the rest into Encumb.

For 65% you should be able to use 2% layers. On Wanderhome that would put you at about 63% comp, not too bad for a grinding armor.

Thank you all.

ilike to run 80% kinetic, just because it's a decent seller, especially if you are a 10 point smith. you can get 80% kinetic with two or three layers. three layers is the way to go because you can focus more on making the layers lighter, and putting whatever else intothe special. really 80% kinetic is made for one thing, smashing creatures, so really the base does not matter. 80% kinetic is enough for just creatures, so this armor is made to slice down on encumbrance.

another option is electrical layers. you can make some really light layers, and boost your base up a little bit, while still not damaging the ability to work an effectiveness slice by adding unwanted special protections. again, on these layers focus on the encumbrance and work whatever else you can into the base.

it's really difficult for a 10 point smith to compete in the PvPstun market. 10 point smith can make quality armor, by playing with the layering. as one person already said, you can make all kinds of layers. peek around at what sorta resources you have, and see whatever has a good MA/OQ and work from there and experiment (gloves are great for working out all the kinks.) but i recommend triple kinetic (reaching 80% kinetic with low-ham) designed for encumbrance slice or triple electrical (getting a few more on the base but still with low-ham) designed for an effectiveness slice (still catering to the PvE market with 85% base no-stun.)

anywho, good luck!

depending upon your base, you can make lit-kin at 10 points with 2/6-7 kinetic layers, preferably made with copper or aluminum and a high ma/oq/sr poly, your base will be 60-65 and ham should be 500-600 for full 9
