I am thinking of dropping master smuggler and not slicing my armor anymore. How many of you don't slice your armor and how are your sales?

The only thing i do with my armor now is slice it.I had both before but the unsliced never sold as much as the sliced stuff. Most people slice there armor, so instead of finding someone to slice it for them and then have to pay for it they can just buy it already to put on and fight.

Maybe u can just drop down to X/3/X/X and just slice some stuff

I don't think I could do that to my customers. I only want them to have the best.

I'm talking profit though. You sell 12 at 20k each, and I can sell 1 at 100k. The money is just so different. My one worry is having to actually make more armor than I do now.

Accounting profit and economic profit are very different. You also have to factor in the extra work of slicing, pricing, and waste that comes from selling sliced goods.

In a typical week, I will sell approximately 30 full suits in packs, as well as scores of single pieces (mostly chestplates, boots, gloves, and helmets), for a healthy income of anywhere from 10-20 million. Most everything I make gets sold within 30 days of production. My stocking process is short and sweet.

All in all, the money's really not that different. You either have to pay for a Master Smuggler's services, or you have to sacrifce a ton of skillpoints to do it yourself. By the time you're done slicing, pricing, and stocking, I'm already counting my money and working on the next run.

And that's where i'm at. I think I'm going to stop slicing my own and go to unsliced or possibly work a contract with a slicer.

well, despite the fact that slicing the armor (and weapons for that matter) before selling really just hurts the smuggler community (or at least pokes it), I'd say just hire someone else to do the slicing. Always better with the middleman!

I don't sell sliced armor, I'm lazy and don't want to have to price it all. A buddy of mine buys suits off of me and does get it sliced. He makes insanely good money :/ You'll make the money either way. Just how much work do you want to put into it??

That's not the problem. I've been approached by other smugglers to do the slicing for me. It's just that I'm on at such weird times, I would have to have a "slicing house" just for them.

I may have to go that route though. The money on presliced is so nice.

I never sell sliced armor, and I have no problems with sales at all. In fact, I probably sell more armor by selling it unsliced, with much less hassle to myself other than when someone decides to buy 12 left bracers to get that perfect slice.
