Between the variations of Composite such as 80% and that of the Rebel Marine armor. What would you say are the pros and cons of each and how they compare?

Well i dont know what damage they would do if you hit people with them.

Far too early to tell I think since there is a new damage system coming and we don't know to the fully how armor will affect you.

I could see Composite as a very heavy (I mean super heavy) armor with good protection against certain damage types. It will also slow you down, and reduce your effectivness fighting, ie using special attacks. It will be a tank armor, you'll absorb damage but don't deal out so much.

Rebel Marine Armor (the one that is in game IIRC) is labeled scout armor and is very lightweight, meaning it won't slow you down and effect your movement I think.

Like you said, all armors have pros and cons. One is good against certain damage types and vice versa.

encumb is the only con to wearing composite as it can be made with only one weakness pretty much. pros to wearing rebel armor? well i guess you get to say, "hey look at me i spent x amount of faction points to get this."

seriously theres only one armor worth wearing and thats composite. you can wear ubese or padded if you are fighting not-so-dangerous things but composite is the way to go. faction armor isnt easy to come by, at least replace,and really is only for show.
