hey all,

currently ive been producing ubese on radiant with the following stats:

77% kinetic

27-29% base eff

the complaint that some customers have made is that my HAM is just above the point where a non-migrated user can wear a full suit unbuffed... mostly because of the mind HAM on the helmet (around 225 mind encumb on the helmet)

was wondering if any other smiths have better success selling low eff / low ham better than high eff / normal ham..

any info / feedback is appreciated.

most customers just slice the suits and hope for encum on helm/chest/pants

base ubese blows, people want 75-77 kinetic

I usually max out kinetic then the rest into encum. People don't really care about the base on ubese.

Hello Sena. I am resorce dealer who recently Mastered AS on Radient. Being a new smith I cant tell you about sales. But I am a Ubese customer of yours. Two of my mineing characters and my crafter ware your Ubese. I bought 3 suits and had them all sliced. Right now i am getting free slices from a Smuggler grinding force points. The encumbrace suit went to my oldest mining toon. The mixed suit whent to my crafter. But i bought some low HAM legs (Not made buy you) to enable me to ware it. The effectiveness suit whent to my new mining toon who had his stats migrated when I started the account.
I think a great suit Ubese or Black Mountain sould not need a Doctor, Chef, Smuggler or Stat migration to ware. Its a chep suit of hunting armor. I reacently bought some low HAM Black Mountain for my Wookee Ranger. A few encumbrance slices made them awsume not just wareible. Great for hunting unbuffed.

i would sayboth sellinggood. Some peps like more lesser encumbrance other a bit more base (mostly for energy protect) and some like to combine it.

I m selling both kinds in my Shop and it running almost 1:1. Difference in HAM isnt realy big between HAM experimented and base experimented ubese. As example my 29% base have 348/411/477, HAM experimented with 16% base 274/326/387 (sure made with 12 point).Just Kinetic resist is realy impotant at Ubese.

thank you

I've always made Ubese with lower encumbrance. 77% kinetic, and 18% base, with all the points outside of kinetic put into making both the layer and the final combine lighter.

Putting points into base on ubese doesn't help much - useful for the energy resist, but Ubese has vulnerabilities to Acid and Heat, which makes it useless against a lot of creature types that spit acid (quenkers, spineflaps etc) or fire (geo cave). People who're wearing ubese will typically only be fighting pure-kinetic damage creatures, so lower encumb means less food consumed, or in extreme cases, no buffs needed (yes, I've levelled a M Brawler, 4232 pikeman without buffs, using ubese on test center)

I do the same. With 12 experimentation points, it makes a suit that is quite comfortable to wear unbuffed.

I think you guys are missing an important point as well. If you max special then dump 2-3 pts into base, you're effectively losing 2-3k condition on the armor.... this is very important to most grinders too. just MHO

Ive always gone for the lower enc and higher condition over a few % to base when base is 20-30%

Yea I think most people would want low HAM costs. I have comp unsliced, and I can't wear a full suit unbuffed for my pistoleer.

Such a suit from a 12 pt smith will have about 20k condition, that is, a suit experimented for low HAM without regard to base.

A Mark 3 shield generator with 54% to energy is a good complement to a suit of Ubese.
